Why do you dislike AI art in games?

I'm not a full hater of ai art, bit most of them looks so clumsy and artificial, so I dislike it a lot. There are some good ai art, and I have encpountered a bit of that too, but I guess that most of it it's just ai slop, or at least is what I've found. I prefer when art have different styles and looks more human

its not that i dislike AI art in games, its that LLM's will construct a full game for you, image, code, everything
so, jump into the slop & lower your standards.

things will get way worse if you keep supporting "the slop"

The main issue for me is the lack of a distinct art style. It all has that same generic look after a while. AI art only really works if people use it as a starting point and manually retouch it to give it actual personality.

There are a few games I've seen where AI is used really well in a game, but if the AI models are inconsistent it breaks the immersion into the game. Done well, AI models can be superior to 3d modeling, but even hand drawn can be so much more engaging when done well and consistent.

I dont like AI Art/Videos in Games because i think the Devs are getting lazy and didnt put much effort into their games. I like a good 3d drawing Arts and Games.
I would also pay sometimes and support the creator.
I also dont like the optic or the Art Style.

1. No, even if magically it looked consistent, I'm against it on principle. I don't consume or respect real porn or AI porn games so they're roughly equal to me. No, DAZ is my personal favorite.
What if it's used in conjunction with DAZ? DAZ's animation tools are clunky and archaic at best. Render's take too long and the end products leave a lot to be desired. I went down the rabbit hole and am now adding little animation clips into my current project. I think they look better than DAZ (but not as mature as Blender, but I don't have that kind of time tbh).

I understand why some creators have to use AI art if they either have no artistic talent or have literally no funds to pay artists. I have a major issue with creators who make thousands each month on crowdfunding do minimal updates over years and then also use AI art (especially if its low quality and raw). I do think AI art is basically theft or plagiarism when it wholesale rips off unique art styles but if its for a niche fetish and not monetized I'll admit I don't care as much. I'll also say I think most of the 3D models used in a lot of the popular renpy games are very much an acquired taste.

My stance on it in games is the same for it in reality it's ok if it is used to enhance and support the art but not completely replace everything like some games use it to make some of the sex scene movements look less stiff though some kinda overdo it so still iffy

Inconsistency and mistakes in small details are the most disappointing thing about AI characters. The devs often ignore it, because if 95% of the image details are good, they just leave it like that. Jumping in quality from 95% to 99% will require 10 times more time and efforts.
I personally often use AI for UI elements, like buttons, icons and so on. I can't draw at all and it's hard to find the right icons for specific things. It's much faster to ask AI to draw: "square button, icon, swap between poisoned and simple sword."
