I'm not a full hater of ai art, bit most of them looks so clumsy and artificial, so I dislike it a lot. There are some good ai art, and I have encpountered a bit of that too, but I guess that most of it it's just ai slop, or at least is what I've found. I prefer when art have different styles and looks more human

They are not "taking". They are copying. They are just MUCH MUCH MUCH better at it than humans. Also, there are probably millions of small changes in that "exact copy" that you cant see because your eyes cant tell the difference. It looks identical to you, but quite different to the AI. They were literally written to copy. When they talk to you, they are not talking to you, they are using values to determine what the most likely response would be based on other responses they know of. Also, stop treading AI like it is a person stealing soemthing. Sure, the company that runs it might have fed it info they shouldnt have, but that is the human, not the AI. AI is just spitting out what it is asked for. Guns spit out bullets when you ask for it with a firmly squeezed finger.

Nah, AI chatbots are coded to analyze what you want and answer based on that. If you ask it for a history lesson and you're a white supremacist, it'll give you a stupid alt-history scenario that never happened. If you're a complete imbecile like Terrence Howards, you might ask it what 1x1 is and get 2 in response. AI doesn't give you any information you don't already know, it programs itself to subordinate to your biased whims and beliefs.

Guns make it a lot easier for people to kill people, this argument has never made sense in any situation it's ever been made. Why do you people keep using it?

On both points, whatever you're cooking tastes raw and undone. And on that note, this will be my last response. Have a good life helping to destroy the planet

its not that i dislike AI art in games, its that LLM's will construct a full game for you, image, code, everything
so, jump into the slop & lower your standards.

things will get way worse if you keep supporting "the slop"

The main issue for me is the lack of a distinct art style. It all has that same generic look after a while. AI art only really works if people use it as a starting point and manually retouch it to give it actual personality.

There are a few games I've seen where AI is used really well in a game, but if the AI models are inconsistent it breaks the immersion into the game. Done well, AI models can be superior to 3d modeling, but even hand drawn can be so much more engaging when done well and consistent.
