Fundamentally, AI imagery is both morally deeply objectionable to me, and also just looks like shit, there's a perpetual glossiness and smoothness, persistent blush, and a bunch of other things that trigger the uncanny valley effect, no matter the style its cast in, but even without those, there's a genericization inherent to how models work that means you see the same seven faces, and again, morally objectionable, what comes out of generative AI is at best painted over plagiarism, and most often, images without intent, the AI "artist" is no more an artist than the guy who commissioned an artist for art, except with less control of the result and more penny-pinching to avoid paying real people over megacorps, and the AI isn't an artist because it has no sense of intent, it puts images together without any comprehension of composition or subtext(because it doesn't think at all, it calculates using aggregates, averages, biases, and keyword guidance)
