For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

The goated copy/paste returns to spread knowledge once again.
I'm thinking about how to make this more efficient, mainly so I don't spam it. Or maybe I'll stop doing it like a bot and just say hi like a normal person, and hope that people read the rules and ask if they have any questions about how things work here.

you could either send it by PN or change it slightly every time.

I personally do not think it is annoying or anything rather it is quite helpful. So do continue :)

I had thought about sending it as a DM to new users, but I felt that was a bit intrusive, so I’ll give it another thought. I’m not going to make minor edits every time; in the end, it’s more of a guide than a greeting per se (though it is also a welcome message).

I had thought about stopping doing this because, technically, it’s not my job to inform every new user—wherever you go, you should always inform yourself of the site’s rules; it’s everyone’s responsibility. But at the same time, I feel it’s reassuring for someone new to receive a mini-guide about the site with steps to follow, rather than having to learn everything on the fly.

After all, not all sites have a currency system, let alone something like the "Public Area" and "Area+" that we have here.

I honestly think you should keep doing it. The importance of it outweighs the perceived annoyance if you ask me.

already played them all 😅🤣

No. Bungie fucked destiny. Why even play anything by em. Sure. New game. Nope. Extraction shooter. Nope.
Yeah, no idea how they fumbled so hard. I used to enjoy playing destiny so much, but not anymore.

I love Destiny 2 discussion, because it's such a train wreck. I could be having a bad day, but if I'm reminded of BungLe's fuck-ups, I have to smile.

It's useful to be here and not a DM, because it's seen by the other new people who didn't post anything yet.

Trust me, we used to have other greeters, even non mods, doing things like this.

Thievery is still called "a profession." a criminal profession, where people make countless money from crime. There is a thing called career criminal, though, yeah, its not legal like banking or labor work ect..
Just because something is colloquially referred to as something doesn't make it that something. Caduceus is frequently associated with the medical field and yet Caduceus is the Rod of Hermes they clearly mean to use Rod of Asclepius, but they get it wrong. Literally is actually in a literary sense and thus was the same definition of figuratively and yet people claim that it is a literal sense even though they still use the original definition. If you "literally" couldn't get out of bed then you wouldn't be out of bed to make that statement and the vast majority of people aren't aware of the origins of the word and are just accidentally using the original definition so they're still "wrong". A profession is a paid occupation, you're not getting paid for the act of theft you're earning money as a result of your theft it's a semantic difference. If somebody paid you to steal something then you're actually getting paid for the act of theft and it could semantically be considered a "profession". If you're just a thief trying to resell stolen goods your getting paid from the act of selling the items and not the "job" itself. Being a thief is not a profession BY definition.

You must be fun at parties. I don't even disagree with your point but you actually sound insufferable. Did I get my punctuation wrong?
You can't imagine how little your feelings towards matter to me. You're the one that took the time to respond to a post you found "insufferable". 'Says a lot more about you than it does me, but congratulations on those delusions of adequacy.

To actually answer your question in spite of the sarcasm, no your punctuation was not correct. Your syntax could use some refining too if you really want to get into it. Wrong typically denotes morality or subjective judgment whereas incorrect specifically denotes factual or technical errors, id est "incorrect" is more correct than "wrong" would be. Just because it's a forum doesn't mean the rules of English go away. I think you spent a lot more time on that message than I did lol. Sorry I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings.

Also while we are giving grammatical advice maybe take a look at your signature.

"I check the forums daily, but I tend to not post because the content has to be sterilized due to the censor loving mods so feel free to DM if you have something important to say that isn't just the circle jerk non-sense the mods deign "okay" to post because despite being an 18+ site the mods are worried that people can't just use the ignore feature when appropriate or simply not engage when called for so they prefer to censor the forum in accordance to their own agendas."

This single complex sentence is trying to convey like 5 different ideas, I expect better from our local reddit mod.

Thats true. I suppose a lot of people, even some legal representatives use the term "profession" to describe a thief who makes profession, as in he get paid, but it is probably used more loosely rather than a legal paid work. But regardless, thanks for the correction. I see your point now.

I notice many words and expression in English, especially US language are changed and technically wrong. Interesting idea

Thanks, I'll definitely go over the message to polish it up, but I'll do it tomorrow. It's already late for me... Not really, it's 9:45 p.m., but I'm sleepy. I was actually waiting for you to take over haha

Have a great day, Bloody Countess~

Hiking is fun and has always been
Together with every young girl I have seen.
Towards a forbidden land
As my wayward hand
Is hiking up their leg to the treasure between.
