I can't due to my own financially situation. Even if I could I don't know if I would because the game could just get abandoned. There is also the fact that monthly subscriptions like most devs use can get really expensive considering the game could take over three years to finish.

Honestly I was going to say the biggest reason is that im poor but im not really poor anymore, but now the biggest reason is probably cause i will forget I payed a subscription to a certain dev and just lose money every month without even gaining anything in return. this has happened to me 2 times with onlyfans, and ever since then I decided not to pay for a subscription unless I spend time with what ever im buying on a weekly or monthly bases.

Agreed! I've spent a good amount of $$ supporting games I like that I don't mind being permanently associated with. I find it best to rotate games after you hit a certain amount though.
