i didn't realize that was a thing in these games

You see, I'm not so much interested in "content" as in gameplay. I came here for games, not porn. If I'm interested in the game or VN, then there's no need to scroll through the text.

That's fair.
When a game isn't what I expected (like a weak story or forcing characters on the MC instead of gating them with choices), I tend to skip a bit to see if things improve. But 9/10 it's the last thing I do before quitting the game.

If I don't like the story line I will also hold CTRL and just see the sex and hot scenes but it's a different matter if the story is a good one

Sometimes new version of the game does not support old saves so I need to start from the beginning. We are fortunate to have CTRL.

ngl there is nothing i hate more than when the dialoge just goes on and on kinda pointlessly you gotta CTRL, but i've lowkey fucked some of my saves by skipping then rolling back

unless Im really digging the story im going to be skipping and skimming but man some games still have too much grind.

Lets be sersious here most plots in the porn games are reprtetive as fuck so first of all i need to check the models and animations. If i like what i see i can start new game and invest myself to the plot and try to not click the button.

If the game gets boring I'll pretty much do skip things. (Specially if they yap a lot and I don't really bother reading those stuff)

Only on a 2nd play-through to get to a saucy scene

What does CTRL do? lol

Seriously though, I use it on a second playthrough, or when I'm going back and trying other branches in the dialogue. Or if it's got some grindy stuff that I've seen 30 times now...

nah,i always like to read the history, its important to me ,it has to be very boring to me to skip

None. I only skip if it's something I've been over before and I'm just trying to get to a certain point for whatever reason. If I realize that I actually don't want to read the story and dialogue to a game I'm just gonna delete that game.
that's what I do.:)

I find that I just do not have the patience to trudge through boring dialogue so I do skip a lot.

I will sometimes use CTRL to see how much content there is before any intimacy so I have an idea of what I'm getting into, normally only if I've been reading for a while and feel like nothing is going to happen. Could also be the story is a very slow burn and want to see if the wait will be worth it (new characters, different locations, snippets of the evolved story).

It depends on the game and the dialogue. If I see that the dialogue sounds boring, repetitive, or isn't going anywhere, I skip it; otherwise, I pay attention.

I try not, but sometimes the dialogue get's too wordy and I just want to skip yo the good parts.

Unless I'm really horny for some reason, the only reason I'd hold control is due to very long boring explanations or NG+ stuff... And for some reason I've played Celesphonia a bunch, so I suppose I've held the Ctrl button a lot there... Ah, and I guess on Monster Girl Quest Paradox, though that uses a different button

I never skip dialog in any type game unless i already read (and remember) what was said or at least remember enough. If i wanted to get to the "good stuff" i would not even play a game with story. Like even if the story is generic or sucks I'm still reading/listening to it because its relevant. If i dont like the story in adult games, i simply don't play even if the animations/scenes are really good.

I never understood the point of downloading and "playing" a game if you're just gonna skip a lot of hard work the people put in AND the context of anything happening. Same thing annoys me when people skip tutorials then complain when nothing makes since. It's like building a lego set but you only have some of the bricks and no idea what these few bricks you have are even supposed to be.

Then when someone says you threw out the box, instructions, and the ither bags that had the lego pecices in the incinerator.

The you have people complain and leave bad reviews on how bad or aimless and unintuitive a game and its story is when you skiped everything single thing.

I don't care if its the worse game in the world, if i know or can tell they at least tried, i will read or listen to it no matter how bador cringe.

Also with adult games or 90% of the time i need attachment/reason to get into the characters. I've long grown out of visual stimulus only (not saying it can't work). Inf fact, I'm sure the reason I'm like this is because my brain and body craves the emotional aspect of a relationship more then the physical. It's been like that since puberty calmed down.

So i can fully understand that not everyone is like that. But still, READ/LISTEN to the story, I know if i made a game or if i had the guts to make an adult game o would make it have a story and while i would understand people skipping i would be devastated and feel like i failed.

So i guess subconsciously since it is hard to financially support artists/devs, i try my best in experiencing their games to the fullest and if i really like it, go out of my way to show verbal appreciation of their work and themselves and try to contribute with ideas and criticism if i can.

Unrelated but man...I'm glad i never used social media besides youtube but sometimes i wish i grew with incredibly stupid short phrases and acronym or whatever hard to fallow cringe terms.

I guess im so used to school writing and being able to fully flesh out my thoughts that, it seems disingenuous to not give my full thoughts as coherent as possible.

Because unfortunately some people just skip the moment its 2 sentences long. I know i sound old every time i complain about the "modern generation" but im in my early 20's. Well at least with me it will be harder to misinterpret what i say or mean.

I guess since i am also capable of writing storys that probably also influence my text.

Radiant's about the only game I didn't do this for :)
