For most of the game I like to use the "skip unseen text" option. I try to read the story but some time i cant just stand and skip a bit or all of it. Sometimes y all the game and sometimes specific chars stories that dont like.

Which are those game that you download but play holding the CTRL?

None. I only skip if it's something I've been over before and I'm just trying to get to a certain point for whatever reason. If I realize that I actually don't want to read the story and dialogue to a game I'm just gonna delete that game.

My "problem" is that I want to see and read everything, so, if its a dialog I have already seen, as selecting again an option I already saw, I just click it through, otherwise, reading all the way.

Same here. My brain want to know the story but my D want p*rn ASAP. Thats why i need CTRLol my feeling lol

If I'm forced to start from the beginning having already played the game and I played the earlier version fairly recently I will skip to the new content. Also, if it has been a while since I played and there is a new update I will sometimes replay the game to remind myself of the story but will use the CTRL key to skip through parts during replay I remember.

i do but it's usually only for games that have good animation or art and horrible grammar, or if the story is just bad in general if the story is actually interesting then I'll take my time with it

I try not to, but some games have garbage dialogue.

I also will skip through earlier parts of the game if I've played before and remember the events and it was just that the saves were incompatible.

Dude just download the gallery unlocker if you can't be bothered to READ a visual NOVEL.

I never use "skip unseen text".
However, i mostly skip seen text when savegames are corrupted or i want to see the differences in routes (like the seven realms, my main route is siding with the witches, but thats one of the very few games i want to see the other side as well)

When old saves don't work

always by default, unless I pick up on the writing not being complete dogshit from what I'm skimming through. it's really annoying when you're expected to be playing attention to what's being said, please devs, I came to fap, not to read

Depends on the quality of the game for me. If I'm just trying to you know what I hold CTRL until the "scenes"

Um. No. Skipping only when want to see different way and have to skip part of game that i've already seen.

I like reading the dialogues, but even when I don't want to, I just toggle the skip by pressing Tab, no need to keep holding down Ctrl.

I've yet to find a VN that didn't 'hook me in' after a few scenes, so never - except of course if it's one I've played before, so I hit the brakes just before a scene I know is good.

I skip if there are pointless dialogues that doesn't really matter on the plot.

only have one hand available while playing games 😅

It's very useful for those grindy games where you have to go through the same scene n-times to unlock the next one.
