I do understand it's a more whole experience, but as someone that reads a lot of erotic literature I have always just imagined the voices and sounds and find the actual audio and background music often take me out of the scene.
 
Depends on the vibe of the game. Others have mentioned it before but music (or the absence of it can elevate the experience). Lack of music when exploring in DS and hearing the Firelink Shrine when you first discover a shortcut home makes me hard.
