I dont like real, and ill take AI over anything make in koikatsu or whatever its called, and that other 3d one thats equivelant. I like the look of AI art.

I called last year "AIVN". AI-based VN games increased dramatically last year, which is fine. The problem is that because of this, the number of untalented developers has increased dramatically, who produce stories and characters in absolutely poor quality. In addition, 90% of AI games have no animation, which is pretty bad in 2026, plus 99% of them contain NTR (this is more of a subjective thing, so it's not that big of a problem). Let's say the good little "consumer society" also helps their "work" because they like to give these AI games 4 out of 5 points on the "fzone" website, while at best they deserve 2.

This is my problem with the appearance of AI games.

As for Art, my problem with them is that the characters' appearances (especially their faces) are mostly the same. There's nothing "special" about them that would make character "A" stand out from character "B".

Some AI art in games looks decent if the devs can edit it or put their own spin on it, but usually it just looks like uncanny valley slop

i am fundamentally against AI art. it looks boring and stale the majority of the time. and in the case of porn games it makes them look cheaper than they already usually are lol

One of my gripes in games with AI images is the consistency not just scene to scene, but image to image. It makes the whole thing feel like it's just a bunch of unrelated images chained together without a cohesive narrative to the scene. And even if I like how a character looks, they could look completely different in the next shot.

I don't dislike AI art in games, but I do hate it when the creator doesn't check if the art makes sense. I've seen a backwards dick with balls coming out of the side. I do hate those Ai videos in p-games. Tried one game and it was nothing but AI porn animations and that left a bad taste.

AI art tends to get very "samey" very quickly.

That said, I'm a firm believer that anything created or touched up with AI should be uncopyrightable. AI art is basically art theft, so if you're going to be making games with it your game should be free (donations are fine, sales are not).

But that's just my personal moral compass, I'm not going to go on a crusade about it.

I dislike it more because of the over reliance on it and the samey-ness it brings to the art. Don't get me wrong it does really well when used properly. Like cleaning up images or helping with the back ground but if it's used too often it becomes a crutch.

as long as you're not trying to hide that it's ai, then im fine with it. im already not paying for it so idgaf. as long as it doesnt look like ass. the only art i stay away from is koikatsu or that other 3d pseudo anime one where everything is shiny

it's weird when a normal AVN has AI animations and the character's faces look different, really loses the immersion

i usually dont dislike it but it just gets so repetitive and unoriginal it gets annoying like it doesnt look good anymore too

True. When used correctly, it can streamline the game making process, but it is also really easy to fall into the pit-trap of churning out content for the sake of having it, rather than focusing on quality. (which ai can do, but takes more work than just writing a prompt down.)

Its not that I don't like it, its just I have not seen very many that are good.
Most of them are either to cartoony or down right bad.
