I was first introduced to these games in 2018, when I was married with children, and I was over 45 years old. And nothing, it didn't affect my personal life, nor did it change my psychology. Perhaps the reason is that for me, gameplay and plot have always been in the first place (if we talk about VN), and sex is just an addition, like seasoning to a steak, nothing more. In principle, my attitude towards these games is no different from my attitude towards any other electronic games. No, I have zero interest in experiencing anything similar in the real world. Fiction and reality is very different. I see it as no different than someone who plays call of duty vs someone in a real war. In fiction its fun, because theres no real consequences nor harm. Shooting another player doesnt actually harm anybody, it makes a number go up on a scoreboard. In real life, its fucking terrifying, and not a single person enjoys that environment or experience outside of serving their country proudly. People have tried to claim these kind of games like call of duty leads to real world violence, and time and time again its been disproven. I dont see why the same logic and intention wouldnt apply here as well.

For me it truly is just a fantasy. The thought of anything actually happening in real life churns my stomach and just makes me feel bad since deep down I know the situations that I'm fantasizing about are just so utterly unrealistic.
