How do you feel about collectibles in games?

If there isn't too many of them and there is a cool way to move like in the spiderman games they can be nice but if it's like in the ubisoft games with way too many of them I don't even try to get them

Can't remember any game that comes to mind that has a good collectibles. Not really a fan, if it's something easy and gives good renders, then I might go out of my way to get them, but usually it's not the case, so I'm not really fond of it.

Hate them. Almost all the time they are just bad and pointless busywork.

Depends on the game and the bonus. In some I want them all, in others I ignore them completely.

In linear VNs they are very annoying. I want to play the game and read the story and enjoy the lewdness and not constantly scanning for stupid hidden stuff.
This also counts for "hidden" routes that are only accessible if one clicks on some pixels on the background.

I don't care unless the game is a very, very good game and I don't have to click on random places to find these collectible items.

I don't like them when it affects the story of a game but I do if it adds extra small stuff

Searching the collectibles should be reconciled with some rewards, in case of porn games - scenes, artworks, visuals and so on. Otherways there's no value in'em.

It's definitely a question of scale for me.
The secret renders in Cara in Creekmaw are fine
The secret renders in Lunar's Chosen are fucking anoying

This (y)
And they should be relevant to the game.

Depends on the game. I enjoyed it in Horizon, collecting power cells and such getting the nifty suit. Or going through and getting extra resources out of the collectibles. But there are definitely some games that go overboard and just add dozens of meaningless collectibles simply to pad out the playtime. Hate those.

As long as they don’t get carried away with the collectibles, I like them. Some bonus points are nice.

In porn games, what are they needed for? What is important is the plot and the quality of the scenes; if everything is good with this, then it doesn’t matter whether they exist or not.

Hate them, especially pixel hunting. I spend all my attention on trying to find the thing/pixel, instead of immersing myself in the story.

Never been a fan of them in any type of game. Usually requires more effort than it worth.
