I like all type of setting but I think most games should stick to realistic, no need to build a sci-fi world if it doesn't matter 99% of the time anyway.
It's way easier to make a bad game with rpgm, that's why so much of them are borderline unplayable but with a skilled dev who know how to design a game properly you can make a good game with it
Not a fan of the art style. It's always good to see games that try new style but I don't think that the 3d renders with this filter work that well. Still, props to the dev for trying something unusual.
I wouldn't really call "playable and fairly performant" a game that crashes after less than 5 minutes and uses 100% of my 2080 in 1080p with every setting on low while still feeling sluggish
If there isn't too many of them and there is a cool way to move like in the spiderman games they can be nice but if it's like in the ubisoft games with way too many of them I don't even try to get them
If the preview looks nice, I try it even if it's in 0.1 and if I like it, I set it aside until there is at least a finished storyline. For four elements trainer for example, I waited until a route was finished to play it then I didn't play until the next one was done.
Grinding
When the plot doesn't make any sense
When characters that met 5minutes ago are already fucking without any reason because the dev can't bother writing more than 5minutes of plot between each sex scene or the opposite, when the game teases for way too long
