How do you feel about collectibles in games?

I like collecting things and 100%ing things but this becomes a problem in something like luigis mansion 3 where I am compelled to collect every single little thing and have to stop playing because it takes me 5 hours to clear 1 floor

Depends on the amount of stuff you have to collect. If its huge im gonna skip it entirely.
If its ok to do beside everything else, its fine and im gonna try to do it.

I rather like them for their own sake, and I'm okay with them being tied to unlocking content, but it should be cosmetic content only, like different outfits and such, and not required for completing the game.

I like collectibles when i have a podcast to listen to, you don't really need to focus to much on the game while you're collecting them

Irrelevant, except the story demands to find things.
But if its just for some stupid pics i prefer to take those i see and use an unlocker later instead of investing time to really search for them.

Well it all depends on what the collectibles unlock.. if its like bonus scenes then sure i'd happily hunt and collect them.

I like collectibles in general. If a game is fun, I'll go for the 100% completion. If the game isn't fun, I'll just rush through the game and be done with it or drop it.

I don't really care about collectibles or achievements, If I see it I'll pick it up, but I won't go looking.

A waste of time for the most part in a sand box they may work but in a renpy LN stale 9 out of 10 waste of space, no one wants reply a section clicking everything to get a gallery pic.

I'm a completionist. I will try to get everything until it gets to my nerves. Then I will have a look online how to get everything, and even that, when is more difficult, I will throw it away and don't want ot have a look anymore.
