Always in English. Exception - if game originally was written in my language and then translated in English. In such cases i found nuances English translation can't describe.
Every now and then I'll be watching some anime, and will flick away from it while still listening, taking a minute to remember my dumb ass doesn't know japanese.
At some point my brain decided it was so used to hearing it that habits from watching english stuff started sneaking in.
English, since it is a good way to keep my english knowledge in check (not a native speaker), aswell as...well, why waiting and hoping for someone to do a translation in my mother language, which is unlikely, takes time, and also, may even be just bad.
I play everything in English. Even if a game was translated into my language, I will still play it in English as seeing translations is kinda cringe and it breaks the immersion.
Only in English. My native language is Slovak. There are few VNs with Slovak or Czech language, but the dialogues in these games are weird. You feel like something is "lost in translation". It's like using windows. When I try it in the Slovak language, I don't understand it. I know what all the subtitles, warnings, and errors mean in English, but when they're translated, I don't know what they're trying to tell me. So I use all apps only in English language. It is the same with VNs.
Any kind of porn stuff feels weird in my native language. I might consider playing a VN in my native language if thats what it has been written in, the VN is good but the English translation is bad. But as long as there is a decent English version around, that's what I am going with.
If the developers are Russian-speaking, they often include the author's Russian text in the game themselves, and it's very high quality, I don't see the need to switch to English in such cases. Examples are Bright Past, Amnesia.
In all other cases - only in English.
I only watch art, so the language doesn't matter to me. Just kidding. I used to even do translations into my native language. Now there is AI for that.
