Do you let games Build up releases before playing again?

I wait for a few updates, unless the game is in my top 10 then I will keep it up to date.

The act of downloading anything is a big barrier to me, both because my internet is slow and because I don't like downloading stuff in the first place.
Having to download a whole game again for ten lines of text and two images? Just fuck off, seriously.
I'll sit here waiting for the next two major releases and then maybe give it another go... If I feel like it.

If the game update is big enough, I always play it when the update drops

Sure, it's better to let it get its pace, then watching 2-4 scenes which only 1 of them is sex

Sometimes. I typically finish a game and check back on it a year later, often with positive impressions.

If game saves don't transfer from update to update than I'll let a couple of updates pass before I play again.

Personally it depends on the game, But I'll usually let the game build up 1-3 updates if they get updated frequently? Thoughts?
I used to play then as I discover them then wait and play from beginning and enjoy, now I go for complete/abandoned games and pick up others once a good number of updates go on. I really dislike enjoying a game early in it's development then having to wait for releases.

Depends on the game. Some of them definitely need multiple releases to be worth checking out again. Then others are like oh, here's 2 hours of new gameplay in a montly update.

if its a game I really like then I play every update if not then I will wait a few unless I have nothing else to do.

It depends but pretty much yeah. If the game update is too small, I'll wait a bit more.

But if it's a new game release, I usually wait for the game to build up for at least 5-10 updates before trying it out.

Games usually not reaching that update threshold tend to end up abandoned.

I do the same for games I like playing. The two games I wait extra time for multiple updates are The Promise and Horton Bay Story

Like many before me have said, it strictly depends on the game and then depends on the type of update. If it's a technical update, I'll wait a for the next one, if it's a content update, then it depends on when was the last update. Makes more sense to me.

Depending on the game, a lot of them take 5 minutes to play the new stuff and then be done. I hate that as it can take me 30 minutes to download that update.
I have two rules:
1. The new game must make it to the third update before I play them.
2. For games with 5 min updates I wait 3-6 months between plays depending on the game.

Not necessarily. I test them even if there's little content.
You quickly get an idea of the narrative quality and the visual quality of the images and animations.

Depends on the game, I play a lot of different games so sometimes if I see potential i might wait up to a year before playing again,

I try to keep up assuming they release regularly. Otherwise if a long period goes in between I often forget what was even happening and have to restart.

I wish i did because some updates are so short and disappointing it makes me want to abandon the game altogether. But I don't. Especially if the game is one of my favorites or the update has taken a while.

I play as soon as I enjoy it, but if it’s too rough, I usually wait for a more polished release.
