I will give most games a chance from the beginning and let that determine if i will pay it any attention in the future. also watch comments to help determine if future chances are warranted.
This is the best approach too many promising 'first release' games never get beyond the first update or two. So wait and see.I’ve learned from past experience to let a game I’m interested in develop a bit before trying it out. But that’s just my 2 cents.
I think I just found my soulmate! I do exactly the same thing but with a few caveats.Go off size not v# 500mb+
I basically do the same, but the art/tags can sway me to download a game sooner. If it has a lot of activity around it (lots of people hyping up the game) I'll also download sooner.I think I just found my soulmate! I do exactly the same thing but with a few caveats.
It mainly depends on the game engine used. I know that a RenPy game at 500MB will have a decent amount of content (especially if it doesn't use 4K assets).
Unreal Engine games though are bloated the hell off. So 500MB is probably not even enough for the game to even boot.
RPGM games, although I rarely play those, probably 200MB+
UnderstandableI get suckered in by quality renders.. and freckles. So I could start at any time.
