What version number do you jump in at?

If it's a known Dev that I love, I download at first release.

After getting... well... burned by so many slow burns that get abandoned before sex... I don't look at release numbers.

No vaginal sex = no download.

Caveat: If the sex is on release 1, and it's a dream, or a side character you'll never meet again, and I get a slow burn "sense" for the rest of the novel, I quit within 2-5 releases after the dream / one night stand thing.

I'll jump in once its at a gig in size or the reviews are great. Whichever is sooner

I try to jump in at version. 5 or later, that's only so I have a bunch to play to see if I really like the game. I'm also a fan of selecting completed titles so I can just play straight through without the wait.

If I scan the thread and see a possible got impreg scene I am IN.

Incest and other kinks are cherries on top.

whatever version I found the game on. I jumped into Altered destiny at 0.1, and to ToN when was almost finished.

I usually wait for version 0.5 or higher. It's always a shame when you get fully immersed in the game and then suddenly reach the end of the version.

every update usually if i like the game alot, otherwise if i just like a certain char i wait for her to get a scene before playing again

Usually 0.5 or 0.6, since sometimes it already has more content

It obviously depends on the size of each update.. if the updates are smallish then i'd play after the 5th or 6th update, if the updates are pretty big then i'd play after the 2nd or 3rd update.

As long as comments say theres no blueballs im good

I don't pay too much attention to release number of games I have not played yet.
I have played plenty of 0.1 games, even though a good number of them should not even be considered 0.1 which says a lot.
I just mostly care if it has stuff that interests me.

If it is a Dev I know, or the description and preview images interest me I will play a first release.

depends on how interesting it is, If it looks great I will download it check it out and will play the latest versions if its kind of interesting I may wait a few versions.

At least a few in - there's almost never anything good (sex scenes) in the first couple - and hopefully in far enough that the dev has his shit together and doesn't require a restart anymore.

It's better to start after v5 since it would loads of content by then. For me most of the time I play the game which already has so many version. Like I just started Milfycious that is a big game now.

I like completed games. But if it looks good I'd jump in around 5.

I prefer to wait till the games are completed, but if I'm really interested then I might check them out beforehand unless there are posts that say you have to restart your play through after every update.

I dont look much at the version number they can have any meaning. Unless it's the initial version, then I usually skip. What I watch more is the changelog, if it as multiples and if the added content seems significant enough, yeah I could test it out.

Version 0.3 or whatever the third update is named.

Burned too many time on abandoned games after first couple of releases. At least with the third you'll usually have some content so doesn't feel like a complete waste of time if Dev drops it.
