For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

I will give most games a chance from the beginning and let that determine if i will pay it any attention in the future. also watch comments to help determine if future chances are warranted.

My rule is .04 or 4th release with excellent ratings and tags I enjoy. If it has REALLY Good ratings I may venture outside a little. Never know may find a gem. Usually not but I'll take the chance. The ONLY time I'll start with a 0.1 is if I knew the game was coming/anticipating it or I know the dev and enjoy their games.

I’ve learned from past experience to let a game I’m interested in develop a bit before trying it out. But that’s just my 2 cents.
This is the best approach too many promising 'first release' games never get beyond the first update or two. So wait and see.

It depends on the amount of content growth I see in the changelog, if there are 1000 renders in total it's worth a try for me.

I get suckered in by quality renders.. and freckles. So I could start at any time.

Depens on the game really. If the renders look amazing from the first version on, then I start immediately. If there are some tags that are interesting but the art does not make the best first impression, then I wait a few versions and look at what other people say and if the concept itself does not interest me at all, then I do not give a damn about the version. Sometime, I ignore renders and version number if a specific tag is mentioned.

If it has pregnancy, I'll jump in, no matter the version ^^

I try to wait until the 3rd or 4th update, depending on the game. Gives me more of an idea of what the game is going to be, and let's me see if the dev is gonna actually work on the things rather than get bored and dip

Strongly depends on the game, on the content of the story. I started Mystwood Manor on the fifth update, Adventures Of Willy D on the second or third update, I can't remember.

Go off size not v# 500mb+

I may try a game before it is generally complete to see if it interests me other than that i wait for it to reach complete or abandoned stage. have burned myself on a early access game before so when it left early access i didnt feel like going back to it.

If it's a members+, I'm downloading first update.

I think I just found my soulmate! I do exactly the same thing but with a few caveats.

It mainly depends on the game engine used. I know that a RenPy game at 500MB will have a decent amount of content (especially if it doesn't use 4K assets).
Unreal Engine games though are bloated the hell off. So 500MB is probably not even enough for the game to even boot.

RPGM games, although I rarely play those, probably 200MB+

I basically do the same, but the art/tags can sway me to download a game sooner. If it has a lot of activity around it (lots of people hyping up the game) I'll also download sooner.

Basically never within the first 5 releases unless the art REALLY catches my attention. There generally just isn't a game at that point. Also, weird caveat but porn games that are ACTUAL GAMES will draw me in sooner than later.

Unless the previews look really good, i'll read review and try to hold off until there is actual content with the main LIs. Which is some cases is like 0.4 or 0.5.

I mostly base it on comments by others and file size, anything more than 1GB should be fine (or a really bad compression).

Nowadays I only play completed games, occasionally abandoned games if they have a decent amount of content. I'll always have other porn in the meantime.
