I pretty much ignore all that aren't RenPy. I HATE RPGM. UE and Unity are too prone to crashing. QSP is extremely rare - and almost always either take place in Russia, are fantasy (I hate fantasy in adult games) or both. "Other" is almost always shit.
i really like to play RPGM games, when they are well made. Doki Ninjas Vis Major for example is still my favorite game, but unfinished like almost all good RPGM games with 3dcg.
I mean, in a perfect world, Unreal Engine or Unity, but Ren'Py is perfectly fine if the story is good. Heck, I'd play Flash games too if the scenario was right.
I'm singing with the choir of Ren'Py enjoyers. It gives a great base level of functionality to VNs but still gives devs the opportunity to put in extreme levels of custom functionality. It's also the only type of game I'm comfortable modding which is a plus.
If the game is going to be browser based then sugarcube/twine is fine but it seems like it takes more developer effort to be usable. I can't mod these but I do know how to change the variables from the console which means I can work around the balance mess these games often have.
