Some are weird, most are chill. If you play VRChat they're everywhere. As long as they aren't abusing real animals like a very small number of them do, I don't really care. A lot of them seem to be good artists.

With SFW art, yes, I like the chill that they can provide, perhaps a shortcut to imagine that it's a world still close to us but we are somewhere else.

It honestly doesn't seem any different than most role play. Animal ears can be cute, a tail plug can be sexy, the costumes are some Donnie Darko creepy shit most of the time but there are exceptions, but over all just role play. I won't get into the psychological influence which may have contributed to the desire of mimicking beasts though. Not animals because animal means to have a soul meaning all living creatures are animals by definition they are separated by Man and Beast, those who can think logically and make tools freely and those which can't.

In terms of characters? I'm fine with the typical Japanese "this is a girl with a tail and cat/dog/rabbit ears", and I like the ones in Furrhouse by Chimeros (which can be found here). I'm not the biggest fan of ones that go too much further than that, but I also believe "a female holes a female hole", so most fictional things like werewolves(werebears/were whatever the fuck else) are on the table assuming they have regular human genitals/breasts. ultimately though, I prefer the more-human-than-animal side of the scale.

I mean... I like anthropomorphic animals like the next pervert but I don't really get/like/enjoy the furries with their pursuits. This just looks weird to me. The big heads, the always samey expression. Just strange. It's like a mascot fetish.

Also... the strange large amount of gay furry stuff. I think there are more furry gay games than non-furry ones. It's just a feeling. Maybe I am wrong.

I absolutely love furries. I am one, as well. I just love the artstyle, the amount of colors and shapes and all of the different things you can get on an antropomorphic character that you simply *cannot* achieve with just humanoid creatures.

I don't really specifically look out for furry games or content, but I definitely consider that a plus when I see those.

I'm not a part of the overall community, though. I'm just a passive observer and a lurker, simply consuming content and art they create, nothing more. As was mentioned previously in this thread, there may be some zoophiles within the community, but I don't believe it's an inherent part of furry community. Just like with other kinds of terrible criminals, they're everywhere and in all communities, so it's unfair to focus on the outliers and treat them as representatives of the group as a whole.

I'm fine with them. I see em like every other online group. Some are chill, others are a bit much. In my experience, a lot of them are open-minded and shit. Plus, there's a ton of furry women I think are hot lol
