The characters keep changing faces and clothing. It's like AI drunk

The thing most people don't understand about AI art is that it takes almost as much time to create good AI art as it takes to make good traditional art. Much like traditional art, it also takes a long time to learn how to make good AI art, but it requires an altered skill set. You also need some artistic skill to know what works. Much of the really good stuff you've seen had their final touches finished in Photoshop.
lol

As a gamer, I don't mind them—provided they are well-made and break away from the stale, standard AI look.

The problem is that some developers don't even review what they put out; you see generic, distorted images that lack continuity. While it was acceptable when the tech was new, nowadays there needs to be at least a minimum level of care put into both the story and the visuals.

Back in the Daz days, there were plenty of games using similar models, but you could still see some genuine effort.

One use case that yields good results, in my opinion, is enhancing animations; I really liked the outcome, as it preserves the original style while adding fluidity to the scene.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Holy shit i cant breathe

If it takes almost as much time to create than a normal artist, dont fucking use it and get an actual artist. Fuck AI generated images
If it's so quick and easy, then how about you prove it and post some fantastic art? It should only take you a few hours to get some good prompts going.

Hate it, but only in art. So many games have just been dumped with ai art that it floods the rest. As a tool for everything else though, it’s fine.

For me, it's less about the AI, and more about a person's utilization of AI. I've seen it used adequately in many fields, even art. Most notably for art, it seems like it has a ton of potential for giving still images some very nice animations.
All that being said, it should be treated as a tool instead of a solution, similar to Photoshop. Most people who aren't at least half-decent artists would probably not be able to make AI Art that I'd consider good.

As for AI voice acting... I despise it. Maybe one day, but for now, there's just too many subtleties in human language that I feel like AI will never truly understand. It sticks out like a sore thumb.
