Reminds me of those new devs that seriously think ultimatums are the way to get subs. Like put "If this doesn't get x amount of $ per month I'm abandoning this" right in a public post on their SS page for whatever crazy reason (true story). That kinda tends to be a self-fulfilling prophecy and too small to not fail at that point, since perception is important and people tend to not want to donate to a project that they think is likely to be abandoned anyway, no matter how good it is.

Yep. That's not even remotely limited to game developers, either. My post was mocking directly YouTubers I see who basically demand engagement or stop in the middle of some series (a game playthrough, a TV show reaction series, etc.). It's like, "Bitch, I'll decide if I like your shit and want to show you!"

My guess is that he either got in trouble with the law, someone doxxed him like what happened to detective necro or someone close to him like his wife found out about the game. If it was something related to the law, I think it would make more sense to delete his discord server and his SS page instead of putting it in vacation mode. But unless he says something I think we will never know.

The line between a modern wife and the law enforcement has been thinned into non-existence, so I wouldn't be surprised if that "year with wife" is in fact a year battling in courts (For any reason).

The lack of loli sexual content in this game isn't because of any website or service. It's because the oldest loli in this game is 8 years old, and I (personally) don't believe that's old enough to be involved with sexual acts. It's old enough to be curious about it, but not to be doing it. Again, that's my personal feelings about it.

But it is a shame that Our Island was abandoned too, it had a ton of potential and in my opinion it was easily the best game that _13_ ever made.

I'm still hoping that the first and 2nd part of 0.6 ends up here at some point since they were supposedly already released to testers. Granted they're alphas and possibly buggy but at least it would be closer to done.

Anyway, am I the only one that thought this part of the story was kind of ridiculous?
An average looking short dude with the one of the worst beards you've ever seen preaches to his students about consent for a week and every single one of them want his dick afterward. At least some of the love interests in the first game made sense seeing as they were all childhood friends that knew each other for a good chunk of their lives.

Not trying to hate on it or anything I just couldn't help but reminisce now that the game is dead and buried.

We don't even know the reason why he had to stop working on the games. He was planning on releasing another update for our island clearly something really serious must have happened for him to suddenly just drop everything. Being angry and attacking the dev won't solve anything. It sucks, but we just have to move on.
