NTR is not a dream, its a nightmare. Just say NO to NTR!

I never had a problem with NTR, and honestly, I don't understand the hate at all.

I say YES to NTR... because i dont understand the hate...why hates much guys NTR so much?

sorry for my large signature, but i hate the whitespace so much...

I don’t hate NTR content. I have no problem with it in games that are actually made for netorare. What I hate is when a game promises non-NTR routes, but still leaks NTR into the rest of it.

I don’t really get the fetish of men who say they’re straight but seem more interested in men than women. They want one woman, but also half a dozen naked guys around her.

What bothers me is that NTR isn’t just about cheating. It comes with a whole culture around it, and that culture gets shoved into the story so heavily that it ends up ruining the experience for people who aren’t even on that route. That’s what made me hate it, and honestly, I think that hatred is justified.

The MC in NTR usually gets the same treatment: short, small dick, can’t be changed, dumb, pathetic, arrogant, a loser. When I play a character, if he’s Black, I want a BBC; if he’s White, I want a BWC — not some loser MC.

The love interests change too. Once NTR is added, they stop showing real sexual interest in the MC. The whole dynamic changes, and she can’t really show sexual satisfaction anymore because everything has to serve the netorare route. Developers also keep reusing the same scenes for both routes, and the quality of the writing and the sexual buildup just isn’t the same.

Another thing is that you always have to step in so the girl doesn’t end up sitting on some random dick she just met, which kills the whole mystique of the love interest.

And then there are all the other common insertions: constant talk about other guys’ huge cocks, sex scenes that shouldn’t even exist because the MC doesn’t satisfy her in bed, and other weird stuff. A lot of times they don’t even bother filling in the story properly, with sudden cuts and boys disappearing and later coming back with their friend... I could list a lot more.

Unlike action fetishes, where you can usually just skip or cut that content in a game, NTR affects way more than just the scene it appears in.

How many NTR stories do you know where the MC has the bigger dick, lasts for hours, and cums a bucket of sperm, while the bull has a small dick and premature ejaculation?

I don’t think the people who like netorare would even enjoy the kind of game above, so why should I, as a fan of harem and incest, have to accept and enjoy games where the MC is a powerless loser, or incest where the MC doesn’t have sex with anyone?

I’m tired of seeing netorare pushed everywhere. If developers want to add routes for harem or incest, they should build those routes properly and stop recycling NTR elements into them. It leaks into everything, and paying attention to those details matters — that’s what creates the hate.

I don't think I've ever read a more articulate summary of reasons why I didn't even knew I hated NTR.

Honestly, it's really just a bummer. In principal, I don't really care because I'm not putting myself in the main character's shoes to get so invested that it feels like a personal betrayal to me, but every time I've tried to feel out an NTR game, it's always the same garbage of 'Wow, MC is pathetic' or 'Oh, my girl is cheating and I'm sad and it hurts' which.. sure, the latter makes sense, but as someone whose feelings are that it's meh and in concept it WOULD be fine, it's just really awkward for me to be watching a sex scene and have the MC be discussing how they're sad and having a panic attack but can't look away and are going to cry, when I could literally just play anything the fuck else.

I fucking hate NTR when it's not actively stated for the game (if it is, I just wouldn't download). Nothing kills the mood for me faster than NTR.

I dont get the ntr hate
My thoughts exactly. If you don't like it, don't play it. Most games with NTR are pretty good at letting the player know there's going to be NTR, and many give the option of going vanilla in their games instead.
Vast majority of games seem to be NON NTR anyway, so why the problem?????

7/10 new games are now NTR or sharing so it shows the player-base has to be valuable, and that a chunk of humanity are cuckolds or cuck-queens.

I don't know why this kink is popular but put the blame on the Japanese for exporting this kink to the world.

Having said that if a game is tagged properly and a dev doesn't lie then it's easy to skip playing any of that. (y)

Only an idiot would enter a game that’s exclusively NTR and complain about the content—just like idiots who enter games labeled NO‑NTR and complain by demanding NTR. Both sides know the game doesn’t offer the content they actually want.

Another problem is games that offer NTR routes, harem, incest, and romance, but implement these routes poorly. In these cases, the developer is often evasive and dishonest. Those creators deserve the maximum anger from players who don’t like NTR. If someone asked for it, now they can deal with it. If you don’t intend to deliver the content, be clear. Don’t make promises you never planned to fulfill. And this applies to developers who promise NTR but don’t deliver it properly—then they can delay the game as long as they want, at that point.

Another issue is trying to push “cuckold” into every other fetish that has any similarity, like corruption, swinging, and others. They might overlap in some aspects, but the differences matter completely.

For example, “swinging” has 227 games marked as such—but how many of those actually involve a real couple-swap? 5 or 6? Unlike F95, which doesn’t have the netorase tag and doesn’t have the sharing tag either—yet those games still keep labeling the content incorrectly. That’s another reason I hate netorare and netorase, because most people are tempted to shove that into “swinging,” almost like they’re ashamed to admit they have a cuckold fetish.

7/10 new games are now NTR or sharing so it shows the player-base has to be valuable, and that a chuck of humanity are cuckolds or cuck-queens.

Yes, the blame is on the Japanese—but the West managed to make it worse in a way they probably never expected.

Problem with these things is that games aren't sandwiches that you can just order without the thing. If you want certain things, they tend to get bundled into other things, and NTR is one of those things that's so invasively pervasive in the genres that it's in that it's sometimes hard to find elements of X without having to at least dip your toes into dashes of Y, as it were.

In the same way that a lot of people might be upset about the prevalence of 'tenant-landlady' sorts of games if they're not into that particular thing with how often certain kinks sort of just don't get covered outside of that genre a lot.

Correct tags certainly do help. It's frustrating when a game tags something and it's not there. But then I'll play it a little, see how it's going then delete it if it's not what I'm really after.

100% personal opinion:
-rare always, and -rase 90% of the time, are not just 'dislikes', they're nauseating. As in, same ick level as necro or corpo (dead things, feces, no thank you).
Now: -ri has wiggle room. If it's a 'LI's partner is a dick' and you're winning her over, it can be done in such a way that it's okay, even good.
but if that involves 'make him watch', where I think the goal is 'someone else's suffering makes my dick hard', I just don't think i'm wired for that.

(I can't do noncon, violence, or rape either.) If I am into a scene/game/story, it is because of the heat in the chest, tightness, can't breathe, desire and passion and love and connection. Hookups are okay, but in general, 'all parties have to be enjoying their time' is fair. Even in scenes where one character is 'bored', I'd rather they're not entirely disinterested only playing at it (flushed cheeks, whimpers without meaning to). Sounds silly but one of the main draws of IC content is the fact that it is usually a long-seated affection or love becoming more: the emotional connection is implied. Yes I fap to IC games for the feels, yes it's silly, yes rock-hard.

What has no place in this arrangement is "And there's a guy in the corner feeling like shit/whining/crying/sobbing/screaming". Or "put your point of contact in their face" or " tie them up and KEEP them in the corner like a dog" or "now go home to your man dripping...". For me, making someone else hurt is not something I get off to. Someone's anguish or suffering is, for me, like sprinkling dog shit on pasta: not even a spice i don't like, it's not FOOD.

Now IF the guy is utter trash, and IF it's a 'you lost, goodbye', and IF he's not like breathing on MC's junk, it can be played in a way that feels right: payback for actual crappiness. If the person being shamed has been violent or cheated or hurt somebody or is GUILTY of something, then the whole scene is a kind of 'deserved punishment'. But if it's just "he's absent" or "he's not a REAL man" or "he's short" or unmanly or whatever... I don't set 'inadequacy' on the same level as 'deserves to suffer'. Also: IF the person being 'cucked' is also someone I'm into, and the 'cucking' is more an 'invitation' or audition - if the end result is everyone's gravy at the end - that can be resolved. But even so that's more a 'working around' the NTR and not 'main course is' NTR. The LIs in the harem warming each other up for you/with you doesn't violate any consent and isn't done to cause suffering or anguish, so in my head that's not even in the same cabinet. That's just Group Sex.

For content: Just... just tell me upfront if it's there, what 'variant', and if it's skippable. So many negative reactions and fights could be resolved if this was explicitly stated from the jump.
For game devs and NTR lovers, you have to realize this is not just 'dislike' for a lot of us, it's sickening. It's not, for me, a 'well i'll skip past', it's a 'ruins the game, ruins the night, dick deflated, fuck the universe' kind of thing.
Yes this might seem silly if it's your thing, but know it's not a minor issue with a lot of people.
Set it on the shelf with the same Big No-Nos as rape, guro, scat, beast: even if you don't personally understand the big deal, it IS a big deal to a lot of folks.
I also like where, in games with it being optional, there's just a lockout completely. Don't even want to see the option.

It is a shame (for me) when the dev has incredibly good art or writing, but then the NTR bus rolls up and parks on my left nut. I understand not everything can make everybody happy, and that it's not fair to demand other people who have opposing tastes can't have stuff for them. But IF you can manage to include it as optional, that's groovy, as nobody is left out. IF you're a dev who wants the broadest appeal, think of it like different flavors of cola: having the option means more sales. if you can manage the work of making two versions, if you have people saying "this looks great, but...", if your story allows a way around the NTR (and, of course, that's to your own tastes), including an option is like more flavors of the same brand.

I think the issue with it in games/comics/art/animation is a matter of LABELS. If 'spicy' food is labeled spicy, people who like it can find it, people who don't like it know to pass it by. I actualy appreciate when it's just in the title directly, no surprises. I think I'd also like if the suffix was explicity: netoRARE is a hell no for me, pure squick; netoRARE is almost always overpowering unless part of a REALLY well-made dish, netoRI is an aquired taste but if the dish REALLY calls for it, it has a place. But just seeing "NTR", alone, really tells me nothing. So: please label stuff, or include in descriptions; and please let me know what variant. It means more folks might give your stuff a shot, and that feels worth writing a few more words to me.

Again, 100% My Own Thing, and if it's NTR is Very Very Your Thing, that's A-OK. That means Your Thing and My Thing don't get along, so let's keep them apart so we can all hang out. But most people who dislike it will probably tell you it's not a minor dislike; it's a huge one. "Ruin-my-week and give me nightmares" tier. (Which... crap is that part of the kink? Other users getting squicked?) Anyway: Handle it like it's that volatile, and you'll likely have more people trying it than otherwise. If you read all this, thanks. If you disagree completely, okay. But this has been one overthinker's perspective.

Toots McGoots, go shot your shoots

PS/EDIT: Yes, sorry, there's more to this (looks up) fucking essay, apparently.
Another thing stood out: Having a girl, say, getting her girlfriend to fuck you while she jills off to it, I like. And I think the reason I like it is I like to look at girls getting off. If this is a whole 'and then she joins in' (now or later), fuck yeah. So in the 'guy wants you to bang his girl', even if he likes it... I don't wanna see some dude spanking it. Even if he and she both dig it... it's still focusing less on the 'what I'm doing' and more on 'what that person I don't find attractive is doing'. A prelude to a polycule, a 'lets see how you handle my girl' from a girl, a 'let's convert my lesbian girlfriend so we can group bang' don't pose an issue, again because it's not being done to cause pain or to get off on anguish. If it's a dude who wants his girl to bang... well if I liked dudes maybe I'd feel a different way. It's not 'ick' because it's what they're into and nobody suffers, in that instance it's just a flavor I'm not into, though. I understand this is one variant of N-T-something-involving-R, but it doesn't feel the same for me. Sorry for the even-more-ness.

Probably because there are honestly good game with great artwork and animation but they have NTR and that turns people off, but everything else is great

Seed of the Dead is a great example of this, the NTR in the second one is cool and all but if you played the first one and develop bonds with the main girls then it becomes a sore spot you have to rub over.

Opinion:

I kinda like -ri, -rare too if viewed from the perspective of the girl, and can't stand -rase because of its focus willing humiliation. I guess im more into "cheating" and watching others cheat, if I was emotionally invested in the ML or imagined myself in his shoes i'd prob think differently.

I never had a problem with NTR, and honestly, I don't understand the hate at all.
same. I never seek it out specifically, and I don't understand it why people feel so strongly against it, but there are a lot of kinks and things out there that aren't for me, so oh well.

Dont enjoy nor will I tolerate any form of NTR.
Im no cuck or 2nd choice.
I dont share my women..EVER!
I wont mess with another man's woman, got asked that back in the 80's when I met my 1st love. Would you date a girl that had a boyfriend? (she asked day we met)
My response.. "nope if she cant make her mind who shes wants then screw her"
Treat married women like I would hope others to treat mine, show em respect and off limits.
To each his own and Honestly I dont care what fetishes/kinks others have. So long as you dont Hurt people against theyre will (rape) or abuse children = Zero Fucks given.
Now im going to go fantasize about having a super penis with my harem of women and go relax till the women gets home.
As my girl tells others.. I dont care where he gets his appetite , so long as he eats at home :)

I completely understand the criticism, the hate, the weird looks, everything, it used to feel like a black void, something that you either are too deep to leave or something you stay away from the moment you discover its existance, i feel like its something that you decide how you feel about since you are a teenager just browsing through Nhentai and thats why both sides are so into this discussion, because learning something when you are young, stucks with you and you feel like you should try talking people into stop or into start
