Just a recent example of why it's not a cut and dry as you make it out... from the dev of Detective Necro.

I see some speculation about things, so I'll clear it up as best as I can. This will be my last post on this site as I've already abandoned my discord.

I've had issues with this guy from nearly the beginning of development. He initially wanted me to add NTR (specifically netorare) content for Glasha, I said no. I have no interest in creating that content, and it wouldn't make any sense for her character at all. He got pissy about it. He later came back and sent me some DM's about how I should just do what he wants since I'm already "ripping off Talothral". Keep in mind, this is like 2 years ago or something after 0.2 release.

Since then, he occasionally came back to DM me some random complaint or bullshit. I viewed him as annoying but harmless. I eventually ended up banning him from the first discord because he kept spam asking for NTR content. When I created the second one, I didn't even think to ban him because I hadn't had any interaction with him for months.

The other day, I was talking to someone in discord, and I meant to post a picture of the amount that a pc repair place wanted to fix my graphics card here in Japan. I accidentally chose the wrong photo and posted a selfie that my wife sent me of herself and the kids. I don't think it was up that long, but however long it was, it was enough. I guess he saw his time to shine, and he used that one photo to track down a ton of my personal shit. Social media profiles, old photos, photos of my kids, my old work on twine games, my parents and sister's address. It was a lot of stuff.

Anyway, I don't know much about the guy other than he is a member of Talothral's server. I doubt he has any connection at all to Talothral, other than joining his server. For all I know, he might be harassing him too. I don't know as I don't remember ever having any interaction with Talothral. I also really can't understand how or why he's held onto this grudge for so long. It's way beyond petty, it's psychotic. He hasn't threatened me or my family physically, only to expose us and report this all to my wife's job, which could very well lead to her getting fired.

Either way, this ruined things for me. It's sucked all the fun out of things, especially because I've tried to be kind to everyone I interacted with. Making some fun porn isn't worth the harrassement. Sorry I couldn't finish the game. I doubt I'll hang around the VN space anymore, much less develop something. You can consider this officially abandoned. Once again, I appreciate all your guys who I had positive interactions with, but I can't risk my family's livelihood and wellbeing for a hobby.
