    True, I can't think of any counter examples really. Though Scream 5 is definitely way better than Scream 3 and 4. And Star Wars 7 and 8 are a lot better than the 2nd trilogy. There tends to be a lot more variance in the real long running series.

    I think Single Again fits this very well. Relatively realistic build up with feelings of guilt and doubt about pursuing a romantic relationship. It is still in development though, but there's a lot of content so far.
