    I feel the problem is more on the coding side. If the dev is a good artist and coder you don't usually have to wait so long. If they start making too much money then the delays start to appear.

    I think when the art is good and they use animation and sound. Stuff like rain or traffic sounds. Atmosphere type stuff draws you in.
