Lewd sounds in games? Yea or nay?

Curious how others feel on this one.

At first I didn't care for it, but mostly because it was usually poorly done. More recent games are doing this better (AI tools, or just putting in the time to include it?), and I'm finding I now prefer it.

Went back and replayed a couple games without lewd sounds and really noticed the silence and found it a little offputting.
I prefer with sound, bit it has to be good quality, otherwise it might ruin the game

Lewd voice acting is great when done right. If done wrong, well... have fun getting a migraine listening to out-of-sync moans that don't even sound like they're part of the scene you're currently watching.

Also, voice acting in H-Games should always have individual settings (e.g. a slider for the MC, a slider for specific characters, a slider for generic men/generic women). At the VERY LEAST, the game should separate the sliders for men and women.

not to be redundant with what everyone else is saying but its good when its good and its not when its not. Overdone voice acting can ruin a scene where well placed and made voice acting can make the game 10 times better

All the games with voice acting I found out of place or didn't match the character; the moans and other sounds were much more exaggerated than what was shown on screen.
Music can be good if well chosen; it can help reinforce the mood of the moment as long as it's used strategically. Background music tends to be tiring.
In the end, no game pleased me in this sense; nowadays, out of habit, I turn off the sound before starting games of this genre.

Sorry developer, but I'm going to play on mute.

I actually like some sounds. I prefer if they are a bit shorter though. I've seen some games have options for different voices if the game isn't character focused and usually at least one of the choices is decent.

I'd say the problem is that it's very hard to get it right. If it doesn't match the scene and the characters, it makes the feel like it's poorly finished and has rough edges. I would prefer that the dev takes that time to perfect other aspects of the game first, and perhaps come back to it at the very end, or just leave it without. To me, Background music is much more paramount to the game's experience than lewd sounds, and tuning that to suit the scene is a much more satisfying payoff than the explicit lewd sounds.

In terms of bgm, I would prefer it to be available but I would rather have silence than to have some jarring/distracting music. Same for lewd sounds/voices...

Yep, totally
I understand the limitations a dev might face, but if you add sound, you've already added another sense that complements any visual limitations
