If you could pick any game from before 2020 to get a full remake what game would you pick?

Persona 2 would be cool, and not outside the realm of possibilities since Atlus is doing a lot of remakes these days.

The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall! Yea Daggerfall Unity is a thing and is pretty cool. But a full fledged remake would be awesome. Morrowind would be a close second.

Battle Realms great RTS game that fall short in the story since not all the factions were represented. Plus I can't find any other games like this where you can train one unit in different buildings in multiple tiers in order to become distinctly specialized on what it does

Honestly i think we should get a massive remake of all the elder scrolls games. Maybe even the original fallouts, 1, 2, 3, and new vegas.

I would like to see Parasite Eve 1 and 2. I remember staying up late at night playing them.

Resident evil outbreak alot of things need to be fix now that game is canon

GTA Vice City but a little more explicit since we get to run a porn studio in that one. Management of that studio and porn scenes should be part of it.
This would be awesome, I agree
Vandal Hearts.
Both the original Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series.
Fallout 1 and 2.
I totally agree on Fallout 1 and 2. But not as FPS (that I saw someone was making).

Also I would add God of War 1 and 2 ... and 3.

I dont like remakes, i prefer new games to be made.
I like new games too.
My main issue with new quality games (Not counting the numerous garbage games being release):
Games focus on being "forever games" instead of having a beginning and end. In my experience a playthrough should be 25-40 hours(Exceptions acceptable, for example games with epic stories like Baldurs Gate or Red Dead Redemption).

I found this game, Child of Light, back in 2014 and I was absolutely in love with the aesthetics of the game. From the art direction to the gameplay and exploration, which was all very short, it was soooo much fun while it lasted. I actually replayed it 3 times. However, few years later, after Windows 10 came out, it became literally unplayable. I haven't tried since 2022, which at that time it was still unplayable, but it was one of my favorite games at the time. It definitely hits my Top 50 and meant a lot of me, so that's what I'd choose!

Final Fantasy VII. The Remake graphics are amazing, but they changed way too much IMO. One thing that especially bothered me was the atmosphere in Midgar. I get that it's dystopian to have artificial lights to replace the sun, but it's so much more oppressive when there's just never any light. But the real victim was the sound design: instead of having claustrophobic music that only opens up into the bombastic main theme of FFVII after you leave Midgar, in Remake, you just wake up on the first day and hear it while stepping out of your apartment into the (pseudo-)sunny morning. Zero notion of build-up or subtlety. The bloat they added is insane too.

I want to see a remake of the old classic LOOM (not Doom lol). It was a game by lucas arts but thinking back, some of the things that made it great was the art style

Revenant. Give it modern-ish graphics, a revised combat system inspired to the original, expanded lore\storyline with better quests and a badass voice acting. Hell of an underdog.

I don't know if anyone has said yet it but Sleeping Dogs deserves to have its IP revived and a squeal made if not just a remaster.
