How does everyone keep track of all the games you've played?

It's simple for me. I keep the games i enjoyed. So when an update comes out, i delete the old one and always have the newest copy. If i play a game and didn't like it, it gets deleted. So I only have games i liked.

that said. i recently wiped the WRONG drive that had all my games and hentai. Thought it was a spare drive i was wiping and now i'm starting my game collection from scratch. Since i can't remember all the games off the top of my head. It hurts more that i lost the saves, because i'll eventually see the games i liked at the top of the latest updates list.

I simply don't keep track. Sometimes I suddenly discover that I already played a game and since it was updated in the meantime, il could lead to some good surprises.

what game..... oh now i member. if i forget it i restart it then its like a new game for me.

Usually no two games look alike.

Then it's a breakdown of tags and renders.

It's very simple. I remember them. Since I haven't played thousands of games, for the last 6 years, there are probably 200-250 projects, only some of which I found the strength to go through to the end, it's not hard to remember them. Some made such a powerful negative impression that you can't help but forget them. As an example of the apotheosis of plot debilism - 23 sisters.

I have an excel with the last version I played.
If I thought the game was good or not.

I try to remember but usually fail and end up replaying games I forgot about
I delete the game files but not the folder with game name and version. Lets me know what I have played when a new version appears.

me personally I dont keep track, I play the game until the latest update and then return after a couple months to see if updated. If i don't remember what happens i just replay the game, If i do remember then i skip to the part where i last remember playing.

I recently convinced my best friend to take the plunge and buy a steam deck. Working on setting it up with 1tb of his requests + my reccos. I'd be interested in following his progress: does he stick to retro, or does he trend toward modern/indie? Time will tell...

I have a folder named waiting for release and i have all the games there and i check them when i mind

I just bookmark or memorize the game that I'm truly interested in, and end up forgetting all the others. When you come across a game that you dropped before you just get that feeling of 'oh yeah, that was shit' deja vu

I just follow them till they get finished or abandoned.

My favorite ones stay downloaded on my PC and them and the ones I have interest, I receive a message in the site when something new happen, and since I go online almost every day even if for only 5 minutes, just to see if anything new popped up, I almost always know when something new happened

I've made a spreadsheet with “title” “version” etc. with the games I want to play or have played/abandoned.

I just straight up forget. Not a big issue for me to download a game, get 5 minutes in and realize I've tried it before. Usually by the time I forget it's been updated a couple times anyway.

Notepad, evolved to Spreadsheets. The problem is, even though I list the games I've played I often forget to correlate what content matches which title, often forgetting the whole game story entirely.
