I tend to mute because listening to some of this dialogue spoken out loud is rough. I do feel a little bad if they used an actual VA though

Haven't experienced many, but as an incest fan it annoyed me a bit in Lust Theory as it didn't commit to the relationships and took me out of the story. That said, it was high quality voice acting and it would've been amazing if they actual said "brother" and "sister" etc instead of skipping words

Since most people mute the audio, why do they use up so much space (going over the 5GB limit often) having it?

It can be SO GOOD when it's done right. Snow Daze is fully voiced and that's one of its biggest selling points. Love Sex and Second Base has this mechanic, but it's only partially implemented, and swings between being a great addition and a huge distraction.

It's more enriching to imagine the voices in your head usually. If the VA isn't speaking English it's harder to get distracted by terrible acting because I can't understand the difference at least

Unless it's a Japanese game with real voice actors, most VN's come off as random people reading a porno and it adds nothing so I just mute voices

MIST is the only game where it's an actual enhancement to the game in my opinion

Only Japanese voice I can tolerated because I don't know what they say, but if English it makes me cringe lol

I mute as well. Devs should only even bother even they have some particular talent for it and it adds especially to the game.
