Do you play your own music in games?

I've done both but I prefer to just listen to the game soundtrack most of the time.

Yes. I have not found a game with a soundtrack that I would rather hear than the music I have playing.

A bit unrelated, but I just can't understand people who play online PvP shooters and just play music while playing. And I mean, like so loud that you can't clearly hear the in-game sounds that are there for a reason...

As for me, when I play non-H games I always stick with the in-game soundtrack, never playing anything on top of that or instead of it.
And call me a madman, but I usually play H-games without sound, just rawdogging it in complete silence. Actually scratch that, I'm listening to myself spamming my keyboard or mouse button because some games consider that "gameplay". But yeah, I usually don't really enjoy the sound effects and voice-overs in H-games so I just turn them off. Sometimes if there's an option to leave only the BGM on, I do that but that's it.

edit: Almost forgot to mention, when there's an in-game option to use your own tracks (typically in racing games) I do sometimes do that.

I love playing my own music in video games. Whether it be Spotify, YT, etc., I love playing tunes that fit with what's going on. For example, when playing in the swamp section in RE5, the first part where you need to get the pieces of the key item to proceed, I play Karuwari I from the Siren 1/Forbidden Siren 1 OST. Make it to the part where you have to get the raft moving and they have the big croc in the water? I play Karuwari II from the same OST. Feels a bit weird to have two tracks from a horror game set in Japan play in the marshlands in Africa, but it surprisingly fits.

I may put on my own tracks in the background if I don't find a game's soundtrack too good, or if I've already heard the same track too many times from grinding.

In non H-Games, i just use a playlist if i have to grind for something or do a time heavy quest such as building in minecraft
In H-Games, never i just go with the game's sound even if doesn't have any

H-game soundtracks overall feel something like 20% terrible, 70% inoffensive filler, 10% good.

I'll generally only turn off music for games in that lowest 20%, but I can't be bothered to pick out music of my own that's not going to clash with the mood of the game.

i have never really tried this fully for extended times, i tend to just realize the music i am playing tends to be to loud for the games more subtle sounds and losing that info is just not really worth it for me

For one-time RPGs I stick to the original BGM, but for roguelikes that I replay a lot, I just play my own music

Really depends for grinding I'll get some tunes outside of the game but usually in game ost. For H games if there's no sounds or only the generic ones you hear all the time I'll do some earllick asmr for the mood.

Depends on the game and my mood, but usually I have a youtube video playing over the in-game music.

usually no, but it does help alleviate the repetitiveness when it comes to grindy games

or just y'know when i'm driving around in forza and stuff, their radio sucks lol

i put music when i grind gear in games, the set music becomes repetitive so it helps in the long run

If the game has a decent soundtrack I just let it play. If it doesnt have any then Ill que up another game in background to have it play.
Most games that dont have lewd sounds Ill use short mp4 or other games lewd sounds to make the current game more immersive (nothing gets me soft than a hot girl in a good game not making a sound, i need to hear and see the action)
