Mainly if I like the model used. Lisa from Big Brother is a favorite. That model is used in many games.

I think my probably with the models is not so much the repitiition of the same model across different games but rather the expressions are usually muted or over the top

well, most devs dont make much money with their games and are doing it as a side job or hobby. Also some might not be the most experienced model creators or just cant spend much on Daz3d Licenses and Assets. So I dont mind so much when there a some reused models.

I know a developer, he creates a game in his spare time, it's https://lewdcorner.com/threads/club-detention-version-0-067-yorma86.805/. The graphics there may not be perfect (especially the MC is unlucky), but in general the models are far from standard, maybe the developer just seriously approached the customization of models. Though this project is more of a hobby than a source of income for him. Interesting guy, open, willingly communicates with users, I met him on *f95*.

Where some games share models practically all games have the same environments. That park with the two benches and the tunnel is used in every game I swear. makes me laugh every time i see it.

it sometimes makes me think i played the game before. Dont like when i played a game with a model i like then in another i see they made them a prostitute or junky.

If you want to make a game and use its pre rendered assets, the least you can do is change a bit the models so they are unique.
Uniqueness is important.

What the devs do with said models matters more to me. Sometimes it's better other times it's worse, or they reinvent the perception of the model due to the story attached to it.

Plenty of ways to make something like that less stale.

It can be a bit odd seeing a character that I remember playing a certain role pop up as another character but it doesn't really bother me

Exact replicas are welcome as 'crossovers', see Lost Guardian for example, but clones with very little variation with different personalities is a no thank you.
