Do you skip through dialogue to get to the sex in games?

Depends entirely on how good/shit the writing is. If the game can keep my attention I'll read. If it starts to get boring or drag on too long first I'll skim, then just start mashing till something good happens

Even if the story is bad but I like the sex scenes, I feel bad skipping through it.

I'm curious to what others do when playing H-Games. Do you tend to mash space/left click to get through a lot of the dialogue, maybe stopping at some parts, or do you take the time to read everything? I tend to mash through the early parts of games at least, then maybe slow down after a while.
not a lot of stories are good and alive. And sometimes you just want to fuck, so there is not a lot of place to think and feel something else

Not all the time, but if the story turns out to be good, i take my time with it.
It can give some depth to the game.

Only in games like Grandma's House where there is way too much pointless dialogue at times. I'd never skip in the vast majority of games that I play because they usually do not have too much pointless dialogue

It really depends sometimes I'm in the mood to beat it other times to read it.

HELL NO!

In fact for one of my H-games I am too focused on farming to pick a path immediately to have (direct) sex.

Yep, I approach them in a similar way. I'd say i end up skipping the text after the first 15 or so minutes in 90% of games though.

It really depends. Sometimes I’m in the mood to actually sit down and read everything, other times I just want to beat it and move on to the scenes lol.

On a first playthrough I usually try to read most of the dialogue though. If I’m skipping, it’s normally because I already saw that section after reloading a save for another route or ending.

For me, if the writing isn’t worth reading, the game probably isn’t worth playing either. The story and character interactions are half the appeal of VNs. Though if the dialogue starts rambling for 20 minutes about nothing, I’ll definitely start speed-reading and tapping space like my life depends on it.

On replays though? Yeah, that’s when the gallery unlock goblin mode kicks in fast.

I'll try to read the story for the first playthrough especially if it's an RPG style game. Sadly, too many times it's painfully obvious that storytelling is only a tool the dev is using to lead to the porn. At that point, if all they want is for you to get there, might as well. Always a good idea to try a dish as the chef intended the first time, you can modify it after the second time.

I do the opposite, I start by reading and if the story isn't engaging i skip to see if it picks up before i delete the game.

yes
because i want to finish the game to unlock the gallery

Plot does not necessarily needs to be story-rich. I think personality-rich characters matter more

Also if I downloaded the game just to wank then I will skip till wanking material starts

A big no for me. I don't find it fun to see lewd scenes without the plot. When you get know your characters and their stories, its more fun to see them in a lewd scene

Defnitely not to start - but if they start dragging on too long, the story stops being interesting, etc. I'll start "skimming" by skipping chunks. But that's also kind of an early sign I'm losing interest in the game. If that keeps being the case, and I'm not SUPER into the art/character models or anything like that, I'll probably just quit.

I almost never skip. Usually its if after a while the plot drags on too slowly/isn't interesting enough but the scenes have been good so I might skip to the next one but at that point I'd probably not be playing the game for much longer.

If I’m playing a game and the writing is bad enough that I would want to skip it I’m just gonna stop playing the game. Maybe I’ll come back to it later to see if it clicks but if not I’ll just delete the game. If I wanted to get to sex scenes as fast as possible I would watch porn. I’m playing visual novels because of the dialogue, characters, and story. I don’t just want the visuals I want to novel too. The only time I’ll skip dialogue is if I’m going through different paths and it’s dialogue I’ve already read.
