Do you prefer a faceless protagonist in your games?

For me I prefer for the protag to be faceless(face is obscured or the game is in first person perspective the majority of the game) because I like to self-insert when playing. And seeing a face that doesn't resemble mine breaks the illusion.
It doesnt matter to me, but having a non faceless protagonist usually allows devs to make better stories

I know plenty of good faceless games, but even more good games with a face - so to me personallyy I don't think its that big of a deal.

i prefer a mc with a face because it's easier to for me to establish a character like yeah he does look like someone who would be a depraved perv but the problem with that is that stereotyping is also very obvious sometimes like yeah of course the main character who is like 4 foot in a game about corrupting his family is gonna turn into a gigachad roided out beast but at least with that appearance you can throw a comedic spin on the story whereas with a faceless mc it just porn game logic where the entire world is crammed into giving him action 24/7.

I'd prefer faceless. The problem is, most developers don't know how to implement it properly. So, it's better to have a face than to have a poorly implemented faceless MC

Depends, if the mc has a definitive personality, like in a kinetic novel, then giving them a fitting appearance adds to it. But if its a 'pick your style' kinda game, where you can be nice or a dick, then going faceless is fine

I don't prefer faceless, but then, that's probably because most of the people who make their protags faceless make it too obvious. Light of My Life, anyone?

i think it depends on the type of game if i can immerse myself then i prefer a faceless

it depends on the game. Faceless protagonists work well for immersion, but I prefer defined characters in story-driven games.
