For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward.
I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward.

3D if it has a interesting models and a physics engine (every day is a good day with jiggle physics), but as those are in short supply, a well-drawn 2D wins out most of the time.
I prefer 2D just because there are so many great artstyles that can't be expressed in 3D.
At the moment the vast majority of 3D isn't that great too considering people don't know how to be consistent or use shadows but maybe I'll change my mind when it's better.
I think I answered this, but both are fine. Actually, somewhat unrelated but I have seen people complain about lack of animations a lot, yet i’ve never felt very strongly about that. I feel like games can be very good without a single animation. In fact, I prefer no animations most of the time because the developer actually has to focus on posing and scene choreography to make it interesting.
I cast a vote for 2D, but that's only when the 2D art and the style are done well. A really solid 2D game also feels fresher since we're a bit saturated with 3D AVNs.
A badly done 2D game is worse than a bad 3D game though most of the time.
I think 3D are hot, but games being 3D for the sake of being 3D looks so bad. I rather they make good 2D games, with good scenes, story. For example - I would place Our Red String above ALOT of 3D rendered games.
Maybe its because of the sheer volume of 3d games. But I find a lot of 3d games just look similar to each ( same character models, backgrounds etc). Ironically making 2d games more unique and stylized.
I wouldn't say I have a hard preference one way or the other. Both have advantages and disadvantages over the other. 2d allows more freedom and variety in scene composition, while 3d being more realistic tends to feel more erotic even with more vanilla scenes at the cost of a more rigid scene composition.
I think 2d can be great - its just that most games that has sparked my interest has been 3d games. Im not a big fan of the japanese hentai 2d games - and i feel like thats most of the ones i come across. But if there was a great 2d western vn, i would probably enjoy that as much as any 3d i imagine.
It's highly dependent on the art. I think 2D can often be better, look at high quality games like My Pig Princess. Every scene and character is well drawn by a professional artist. They're not using AI. They're not getting quick jobs from Fiver. They're doing quality work and the product is excellent. The issue is that game creators are willing and able to achieve this level of art. 3D allows people with more limited artistic skills to use premade assets much more easily (anyone with access to Koikatsu can basically make art for their game) at a level that is acceptable.
So 3D means a higher baseline usually that is easier to meet, but 2D often allows for a higher and more evident ceiling.
Lately ive been playing a lot of 3d, but both have their merits. for 2D the art is usually more consistently good, and especially for the Japanese ones quite a bit longer with a more in depth story.
