Unfortunately, most games don't have enough content per update, so it's a waste of time. 3-4 updates barely justify the effort.

Depends on the games and how frequent has the game updates. some games have updates like every week / month and add so little . but some games update every 3 months so i will play one more time :D

Depends on game. If it like "Kingdom of passion", then I will wait untill game get some pace and content. If like "Milfs of Sunville" that already have several seasons then I will play it when I want.

Sometimes , there is this game "Welcum to the city" that im waiting to get more contect before trying out

It really depends on the game for me but sometimes I just wait it out especially if the developer it's putting out small updates

It varies...now if the updates are constant and lacking in content, I wait

Every update if the story is super compelling. Otherwise I like a game to have three ti four decent sized updates before I jump back in.

I have a few maybe 10-20 that i will download every update I see. The rest Ill usually say if I see it a few more times Ill check back in

I tend to leave games until I think there's enough new content for a satifying experience, doubly so if the game updates rarely.
If I run out of content early in a game that updates weekly then it's no big deal but if I'm just getting into it and then I hit 6 months+ of waiting for a follow up I'm going to be big mad.

I don't play as many games from the start but I do play every single update of a game after if I get interested in it even if the update is focused on a girl I might not have been chasing.

I usually wait for big updates. It’s exhausting having to download repeatedly just to enjoy 10 minutes of content

I tend to find something when its just released, then have to wait for each release. It's nice to find something thats been out for a bit that fits the niche and you can binge it a bit

In common with many of the earlier posts, I feel it really depends on the VN itself and how much effort has been put into the initial release by the dev. If the demo or first release is 1Gb or larger, I will usually play the game from scratch; if however it is only about 200 or 300Mb in size, then I will wait for several updates before playing. The main thing, though, is that I need to be interested in the story and the characters - without that, the VN goes straight into the trash!

currently doing this with eternum. I want to see the sex scenes, but the story is genuinely so interesting im willing to let caribdis finish it before I start again. I want to binge it all like a tv series

If I really like the game, I'll play every update, but if the game is okay but low on content, or I'm just tired of it, I may skip few updates.

I've been following some games and realized that I'm not enjoying them as much as when I played them for the first time. and one of the reasons is that the amount of content in an update is not enough to keep me engaged, so I was curious to know how the "community" plays and if any of you have the same problem.
As a general rule:
If your game isnt worth playing the first time it wont be no matter how many updates.
I tent to not bother with subpar games and those that are good tent to have massive updates instead of 1 or 2 new scenes.

I'll usually wait, but it can also depend on the developer. Some drop big updates and other make miniscule changes and call it an update. All depends on their reputation.

I generally wait until there is content, but honestly, I've played some games that are at v0.2 but have more content than most completed games
