discussion Do you play every update or wait until there's a good amount of "content"

It rarely pays to play the new updates. I'd rather play when more content comes out.

When I love a game, I play every update, eagerly awaiting it. When that update is too "small," I'm disappointed.

depends on the dev. If they publish short updates more regularly i can wait to build up some content or if there are different paths every update i will skip the ones i care about less but usually i play every update

Depends on the game/dev but sometimes i prefer games that are completed just so i dont have to wait for trickle updates.

The games I really like I do every update those that are time killers I wait for a couple updates before I continue.

Depends on the game. Harem Hotel and A House in the Rift every update. A House in the Rift because I don't want to have to redownload the whole game when I can just download the update file. Other games that have smaller updates I will wait a couple of updates to get the most content possible.

If it's game i really like, then i play every update. If it's game that is not so high on the list, then i usually wait for more content since i have so much games to play as it is.

It depends a lot on the game and the size of the update. I don’t usually play every update, but if it’s a game I’ve been waiting for a long time or if they’ve added a lot of content, I’ll play it. Personally, I prefer to let the content accumulate so I can play it later and notice a bigger change

I always tried to wait for a few updates and extenden storylines.
Its getting harder and harder since I feel like development kinda slowed down for many games and I feel like I played alomst all of the games

It depends on the size of the updates. A few games I might try anyway even if the updates are small, but the game gotta be good then, because I might play the game from beginning again anyway

i would like to hope to accumulate some updates, but the games I follow are almost abandoned receiving 1-3 updates in the year

Totally depends on the game and if I am in the mood for that kind of game when it updates. Some I will play every update, but if the update is small I may skip it until there is a bigger batch of content.

Generally I’ll play as the updates come. Some games kill me with too many pointless updates that give nothing, and those slip down to play when I don’t have other stuff, but as long as the quality stays good I’ll play each update. I end up with a backlog anyways, since I am a closet player (shhhh) and have limited time and too many games, but I try to keep up on the games I enjoy the most.

I look at my favorites every time they are updated.
But when I notice that the updates are getting smaller and smaller, I skip a few to get more content.

I feel like the devs kind of train you, some are consistent in their output and it's enough to get back into the story, others, not so much.

with so many "milkers" "deadbeats" and those that get abandoned, why waste my time on those, lets not include the 100,000 meaningless posts to read

Depends on the game as some devs release very little over long periods of time, while others will release a few scenes per update. So cba to download for a tiny amount of content.
