In older Leisure Suit Larry games Larry gets laid quite often, though it isn't shown. Usually with hilarious after effects, hell you could die in the first Larry game if you had sex with a prostitute without condom, due to catching AIDS. :P
I don't mind voice acting in games. Depends a lot of the games and i usually try to play with OG voice acting of the writer's native language, if it's available. Though specifically for AVNs, i rarely play with voices on.
If it's game i really like, then i play every update. If it's game that is not so high on the list, then i usually wait for more content since i have so much games to play as it is. :P
AI is over hyped currently. Perhaps in the far future it can be useful but currently i'd say only useful use for it is making background cg edits. Not to mention all the problems with AI, like the massive water and electricity use those AI data centers have.
I rarely play with music on, because usually the music is too loud from the get go, before i can even go and change the volume in the menu. Also most music they use is generic free to use music, since i don't think many will pay for music licenses that then expire in the future or have to renew...
Personally i don't mind the lack of animation, especially if the dev doesn't have dedicated helper for making these animations. Iirc dev of Grandma's House made a side game to experiment on how much animation would affect the dev time and he said that it tripled the required dev time for same...
I don't think fantasy is overused, but i wouldn't mind seeing more scifi either. Biggest issue, especially for 3d games, is the availability of assets. It's not reasonable for devs to create all the assets themselves when they are usually solo devs doing this as a hobby etc... so they will have...
If the ratings are low then i will check the reviews. If game has lots of problems that people complain against, then i usually skip the game, if those issues are something i care about.
Depends a lot on the mood and the game, there are quite a few games that can get me going really well and few that are just to keep me warm so to speak.
Hard to say who my favourite character would be, since it depends so much on the mood of the day. Though i can say that one of the best friendly relationships in games is between Glottis and Manny Calavera in Grim Fandango.
Haven't created VN's myself, but could see potential with the idea. Though i would say that this idea would work better if it's made with hand drawn art rather than 3d, since that way you could try to model the characters involved with their original style that has attracted people to them.
Depends on the game and how the grind is implemented. If it fits the game, like it being rpg, like A Struggle With Sin, i'm fine with some grind. But if it's renpy visual novel i'm less tolerant on the grind.
Hand drawn or 3d. Never "AI" graphics, unless the ai is used for very minor background stuff. AI has way too much fucked up things you notice if you really pay attention so they break the immersion.
