Do you enjoy games that have/require a walkthrough?

Yeah, I like games that really have choices, that make sense and that have changes in the story.

Yeah. Usually my first playthrough i go in blind, but after I finish i go look at the walkthrough to see the other routes I could've gone. Then I might play through those routes using the walkthrough

It depends on the game and the player's goals. Some people enjoy using walkthroughs as a way to enhance their experience, especially in complex or puzzle-heavy games. Walkthroughs can help players navigate challenging sections, uncover hidden secrets, or make sure they don't miss important content, which can be particularly useful in RPGs or open-world games with rich narratives and side quests.

I think it's great that there are games that have many paths that drastically change the story

If you can get a Game Over in the game I like to have a walkthrough. I hate to play a game and suddenly lose everything because I made a wrong choice somewhere, sometimes even without an explanation on what or when.

It really helps to save some time and understand which choice is important or not, but it's rarely needed, most games that really need walkthrough imo are sandboxes, but they could've been made as a normal VN in first place

For a game like LiL I felt the need to have a guide in some form because of all of the possible ways to miss events and how it has always been a big undertaking even years ago to start from scratch.

For 18+ games i definitely prefer having a walkthrough. It's nice to help to avoid any bad choices.

Basically the title. Do you enjoy playing games (both porn or otherwise) that require you to have a dedicated walkthrough to know what to do/where to go? On some level, I don't mind it as often the games that do have one, don't make a walkthrough necessary. It's just the completionist in me wanting to see/do everything. However, there are those games in porn and otherwise, that force you to have a walkthrough just to progress the story in any form.
yes, when their very helpful

If the Walkthrough shortens my playing time or if the game has many routes that I am interested in checking out, then that is welcome.

im a cowards so i almost always use a walkthrough unless its short enough that replays are quick.

I turn my brain off during these games. The one brain cell that is active needs a walkthrough for me XD

Love walkthroughs. But I'm a control freak who loves to know the outcome of my "choices".

I'll often use walkthroughs if choices actually make a difference. It's always better to play a game blind first though.

I'm still guilty of scum saves, can't help myself.

yeah, it sucks when you make a wrong move 30 earlier and end up in a dead end without knowing why

I don't mind when you need to go through a game a couple of times to see alternate routes, but when a game hype-specific tings you need to do so you can get the scenes you want to see or even progress is really annoying and sometime will make me stop playing the game entirely so i don't mind games like that having a walkthrough

Definitely this, sometimes just the slightest change in dialogue leads to completely different endings and scenes.

Maid Mansion comes to mind. The game touts having like 50 endings but the entire narrative is like an hour and a half long.

Have walkthrough, yes.
Require walkthrough, fuck no.

A game shouldn't be so confusing that you need a guide to tell you what to do, or what you can do.
That said, sometimes people don't want to have to think even a little.

I fully agree with this but will add having a WT mod active when you fix a save or have to redo a playthrough they are nice to have to make sure you match the choices before or fix a mistake.

If it does, it BETTER be included. That means in-game, not something you have to switch between the game and reading a pdf or such. That's annoying as fuck.
