I actually like it when a game already has a name for the character, oddly enough. Granted unless the game is literally about that character specifically, I'd prefer the game to at least give the option to change it... but when it does I also want it already have something there and not just "MC" or "Name" lul.
idk I'm weird like this, but in the case there is no preset name, I just default to "Ethan" and idk why. That's not even my name, just the name I chose to name all these characters.

By the way, if a game doesn't even ALLOW it with a male protagonist, it gets deleted and a bad rating for that low effort shit.

I almost always change the name. If there are characters in the game that have names of someone I know irl, it tends to make me think of them. I just change the MC name to like Andy or something because I don't know any.

I always put "h" as my name and i don't remember when i started doing that but it's been a few years. Sometimes i'll mash letters on the keyboard to see if a game has a character limit and if it doesnt i will mash keys for a few minutes cause its funny

Usually I don't pay attention to the name of the ms. So if there is a default name I use it. If not, then "Valera, your time has come."
