Nah but, with the interaction the other person would and may also be inclined to like yours too. Hence the more you like another persons comments the less coins they get from it but it's not a immediate.

I got "grandfathered" in as it were, so I never experienced the system as it is today.

Though it doesn't look that bad, I have read where people have had issues with the "reading" requirement.

When you first realize it is there it is a little obnoxious... They intentionally let you go to the games+ discussion pages not signed in so you think making an account gets you in to see those links only to then learn you can't even open the page... But big picture waiting a week, and actually engaging in the forums is kind of a smart move. It reduces fake accounts, and probably gets people who never tried a forum post before to realize they kind of like it. For most probably not enough to keep going once you hit the requirements, but some might end up being long term contributors. So overall I would say it is smart system design at least, and I am glad the requirements aren't terribly crazy.

Tbh it's being kinda fun reading and replying to random threads in the forum. I've always been more of a luker in places like Reddit, so it's a nice change of pace, and the system seems like a very smart way to prevent bots.

Funniest part is seeing the same people that replied 'cupcake' on the 'what food would you be' thread telling their most darkest (no judgement), disturbing kinks, that could give them 4 death sentences by firing squad in the next thread

i just dont get why it needs to be so tedious, it seems completely unnecessary you actually lose access to forums by loging in. ive had my account for over a year and am no closer to being allowed to use this website. don't worry tho, one day ill have enough points to join the site, and on that day they'll raise the price again and make the points harder to get.

Ah I dunno, I see the reasons why. You wanna have some kind of barrier for certain things. If it helps keep the site up long term. Too many sites, AVN and not, seem to get taken down and honestly I struggle to find the impetus to hunt for the new ones.

I was a member here for ages before I even realised that Members+ was a thing. Too busy lurking and not paying attention

As someone who prefers to lurk and generally just read, instead of spouting BS in every thread I enter, I feel the hurdles to get member + are somewhat excessive and not entirely sure they are needed... But anyway here is me spouting some more BS as wanted anyway.

Same! I dont come to gooner sites to socialize lol i come for games or visual novels... F95 is my usual place but i wanted to give this site a shot but these rules are a bit much imo.

I was of much the same opinion for a long time, why I've been here for a year but only just did the members+ grind, I only started that after I realised that this site does fulfill a certain niche by providing access to some games that places like f95 just don't.

Well, I don't know about all that, tbh. I just got a random (sus) DM on F95 about this site, so I figured I'd swoop over, have a lurk, and check their games. They have some that F95 don't, which is cool, but yeh. I don't like being forced to jump through hoops just to be able to DL a game file.

Torture? No, with all due respect, I can't agree with that. When I got access to the + section in late October or early November (I don't remember exactly), I looked there, looked around, cursed profanely and practically don't look there anymore. Why? It takes a long time to explain, and it doesn't matter. The important thing is that for the past 10 months I've been acting almost like an ordinary member of the community here and I don't feel like I'm being tortured. Everything that interests me can be found in the regular section.

So I'm just reading over the rules rn and it says I can't engage in threads to farm more coins? That's weird, how else am I supposed to get coins if not by engaging in threads? Also, I can't seem to see where it says how many coins I need to unlock membership... Anyone?
