Do you play your own music in games?

Absolutely. Skyrim, Minecraft... if I'm not just grinding mindlessly, I'll definitely enjoy music. It's just part of being IN those places.
That's so true. But for those grinding moments or the games with a lot of grinding its so nice to be able to throw on your own music or podcast or whatever to make it more bearable.

Absolutely. If I'm doing autopilot gaming, brain's gonna be doing something else in the meantime.

Yeah its a good way to catch up on series or new episodes, whats your go to? Me personally i watch a lot of videos on youtube, preferably the ones that are several hours long. 40k lore videos when nothing else catches my interest.

Youtube, too much to even begin to list lol. Keeping up on news/politics/etc is easily a couple hrs a day. Beyond that, I'm really liking the new science/math/etc series Michael from Vsauce and Hannah Fry are doing.

Huh, sounds like i just got some more content to watch then, tyvm.

It's SUCH a good series and their upload schedule is ridiculous. SOOO much more than I can keep up with!
Truly the best problem to have tho, its so annoying when you outpace the upload-er and consume all their content on release. Its nice to not intentionally have to bank content so you have something to watch.

Not music, but I'm often listening to something else, usually a youtube video
Me too but on daily routine inside games, also love to use my own personal album music collection instead game music When I've been playing the game for years

If it is a story game I won't use external music because especially if it is a mystery kind it would ruin the mood..

If it is competitive yes ofcourse I would play songs from my playlist since all I hear will be some random guys yelling for ammo..

I pretty much never listen to the in-game music. Instead, I'm usually just listening to YouTube, a podcast, or my own music.

not really a big music fan. I would prefer to listen to a podcast or a story or watch anime.

I play my lewd games proudly.... in silence otherwise my wife will come to beat me up

I rarely play music while playing, the exception is text based games like Degrees of Lewdity or during grindy moments in WoW Classic when I used to play it.

I don't really tend to listen to the music unless it's a game that I know has unique or great music. I would rather have some sort of podcast or mystery channel running in another window instead.

It depends, some games have great music in them, I've recently gotten into Endless Alice and the in-game music just tickles my brain so I keep it at max volume, but more often than not I'll turn the in-game music down real low and either throw on a youtube series or a movie as background noise, or I'll turn my spotify playlist on max volume and just drown out the game completely, pausing for the important parts like cutscenes and what not.

My own music or podcasts for grindy or multiplayer games (wow, poe, osrs etc). For singleplayer games or VNs I always give the OST a try and then decide on whether I'll mute the game and put on my own stuff or continue listening to the game's music.
