I mean in non-H games. Do you stick with in-game soundtrack, do you mute it or do you put your own playlist? For me there are some games that have lack of track variety and if they're long I usually play some random playlist with a music that's close to the game's tone. If I play mindless shooters or pvp games I usually put on some energetic jam to keep myself pumped. You?

I have playlists on YouTube, I turn on one of them during the game. I usually don't listen to the original soundtrack. Whether it's jazz, art rock, or new age depends on the specific game.

for both hgames and non hgames i play my playlist but mostly for hgames since i don't feel the need to listen to royalty free music over my playlist

Depends on the game. Honestly, I usually have music off unless it makes sense for the setting. Like I play GTA with the radio yes, but I'll turn the music off in God of War. I know that it adds to the experience. Call me crazy, but music playing from the sky doesn't work for me.

I sometimes listen to a Youtube video too, but mostly I just don't listen to anything. Especially if the game has sound effects.

Yeah grinding is the only time I listen to my own music. Any other time I use the music and sounds in the game.

Mostly depends on the game. If the game sounds aren't essential to gameplay, like a strategy game or something, I'll have youtube podcasts or news playing on the second monitor and split the volume to 70/30 towards the videos.
