As an apparently uncultured pervert, I'm trying to wrap my head around definitions: If a protagonist would have a three / foursome during which members of his harem also get busy between themselves, does that count as 'netorase (sharing)'?

I mean, technically, the protagonist is sharing his love interests (with each other), I guess, but I would think that it's hardly 'true' netorase because no one is shared outside the relationship, right?

I'm interested both in the viewpoint of netorase enjoyers - if you'd play a game with the netorase tag, would you be disappointed that it's just a harem relationship? - and netorase haters - if you'd play a game without the netorase tag, would you hate it if you encountered a threesome with the protagonist railing LI1 while LI1 kisses / otherwise interacts with LI2?

Mainly asking because I find it difficult to write moresomes where the protagonist is the only one interacting with the LIs - it always feels like someone is left out (which, tbh, makes me think that IRL surely must also be a problem). Someone added the netorase tag to my game, but I'm kinda afraid of disappointing true netorase connaiseurs lol.

NTR means also NETORI. What's traumatic in netori? You steal someone else's girlfriend, isn't it funny in a game? It's like conqueting enemy flag in Quake, that's the funny stuff. Do you prefer to play a game with no enemy, where you sit beside your flag all the time, and there is no task or space for failure? That feels too lame for anyone over 14yo.

first i don't mind it in the game specially if it suits the story.
second what confused me is how A LOT of people use it or identify it to the point where i thought if there's an NTR tag that means there's another dick or guy having sex. and because of that some games changed some scenes or dialogues because the supporters of fans didn't like it

So i've played a fair bit of different NTR games some better some worse but i've never found the appeal of netorase, I personally think that the corruption aspect is what I found kinky about it and can't really find it on netorase

In the same boat here, I totally respect people not wanting it but I actually couldn't care less in a game, so it's strange to see this absolute aversion to NTR all the time.

The only aversion I have to it is the time and effort put into a subroute for NTR that could otherwise be put towards the thing I want. An example I've seen is a lot of harem games add it for variety, but ultimately that makes some routes weaker because the dev spent more time on the NTR route and NTR and Harem are pretty much antithesis to each other to start with. It's like water and oil, except you put them in separate containers for good measure and then distanced them a 100 yards.

Now if a game is dedicated to NTR then, whatever, I'm not bothered by it. I ignore it and move on. It's just when they randomly add it or think they can juggle the two that I dip out. I've rarely - if ever - seen it where both routes get the effort they deserve -- usually the dev just puts more effort into one and if it ends up being NTR route that gets the effort, well, I feel cheated... ironically enough.

people who quit a game because of sharing content are weird. not gonna quit a game because sometimes a girl is pissing on the mc despite not liking the content. it's a video game, these characters are not your friends nor girlfriends, they aren't real. the mentality of a guy over sharing or a cheating woman in real life is 100% understandable, in a video game? it makes me think that the player is so off his game he actually treats these characters as real which is why it offends him so that he quits a game he wanted because of it.

i can use myself as an example for avoiding games that have characters I know from anime, that ive connected with, like avoiding playing games about naruto. but that's how tv works, we are connected to the characters. and since these sex games don't come in form of a dragon age or a mass effect game, i dont get the character connection to a level where if you see a single scene where "your girl" gets fucked by someone else then it's over. you quit the game, even if it's another girl touching your girl despite you fucking both of them.

overall people can very weird, again i dislike scat content, but if someone pisses on the mc im not gonna be like "omg i feel so shamed someone is pissing on me" because it's a fucking game, im not the mc and these characters have not formed any lasting bond with me emotionally over the years like some characters from an anime or a movie did.

not sure what you meant by ad talk but whenever it's BS about money I already smell something close to "I'm gonna milk this game the second I get a chance to do so". TK8000 is the only Dev who isn't there yet despite making money. but he's making less than 2k a month, some creators out there are making 20k easy from the lowest form of updates and lies you've ever seen in your life... but simps will be simps. stupid people have always made society worse, here in the video game genre you get same fifa crap games because people keep paying for them. GTA 6 never came out because the Devs are still milking the online version that turned into a pay to win years ago. and here in the sex games genre you got a guy who updates his game once per 6-9 months, yet earns like double the amount of tk8000. i think it was Irphaeus who made the game Waifu Academy that for the past 2 years have been updated 2-3 times maybe (wasn't huge updates, i wont even call them big LOL) and yet people are still not leaving.

the fastest way to help a Dev work on his game is to starve the fucker out of his money. don't let rich Devs milk you like a cow.
