    Yes, that is true. I was always talking specifically about Catholic faith because it's the most consistent across the board and it's easy to check in different texts and books, although of course within the church there are many lines of thought, they are all unified by the Catechism.

    I didn't meant mortal as in sinful, my point was that in heaven (to the best of my knowledge) we wont feel any sorrow or longing and we will be full of joy, so there will be no yearning. But of course missing a pet is a natural thing to feel.
