I personally don't like NTR but in the context of AVNs, they can be pretty tasteful if they're not the main focus but rather a part of the world.
Take Mind Control by Special Mind for example, the "NTR" is that people will have relations/have had relations with others and rather than the game dancing around it like it's not even a part of characters' lives, it's basically just like real life. The main character exhibits jealousy but also has a way to prevent it from happening and the other characters rather than seeing MC as the only guy, also have other interests and they don't come off as "NTR-ish" but come off as natural and genuine.
Too many games tread not wanting to explore other characters talking about their past or being completely mum about wanting or having sex with other people, and I think that stunts a huge part of character development for the MC, and especially other LIs.
