Oh yeah for sure the statues were about representing the perfect human form, I think that's pretty well documented. You can certainly raise an eyebrow at just how much attention to detail those dudes were paying to sculpting other dudes, but most often those same sculptors were sculpting women with just as much detail. I'm quite certain that there were plenty of gay artists back in the day, but some folks tried to appreciate the male form without being attracted to it.

Absolutely, it would be kinda weird if most art was about being gay (barring modern Netflix originals. Pretty common there). Most "everything is actually gay" comments are just people memeing. Calling everything gay for no reason is just funny sometimes lol.
