For me it's the opposite, I've always been trying to find a horror movie that really "scared" me. The closest I would say is "The Hills Have Eyes", and more than "scare", I would say it makes me unconfortable...I struggle with horror. It is either too scary and I lose sleep or it's hilariously bad. I saw The Shining once. Never again.
but we need walrusesNO! PINGU! DON'T GO TOWARDS THE WALRUS!!
The Hills Have Eyes remake is fantastic, the sequel of the remake is awful. Kind of like the original was decent, and the second was bad, besides the return of Ruby which was probably one of the only good things about it. Of course, I still liked all 4 of those, to an extent. For me it's the opposite, I've always been trying to find a horror movie that really "scared" me. Could be worse

The cross itself is fine. I mean the fancy, bright, colorful light that makes you feel like you're in front of a club or a casino or something. Does not look like some serious business to me tbh.
Yeah. I will not say that old movies are better, but there are a lot of gems in the history of cinema. Ran, Rashomon, La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, Tokio Stories...It was out before I was born, as well, but not by much. My Dad did VCR2VCR and recorded everything they rented, including TV shows. So, I had a huge collection of movies to watch, usually 3 per tape.
Besides, aged movies can be dated, since they are products of their time, but a lot still hold up. Things like John Hughes movies, are still a lot of fun. Snow White came out in 1937, and Wizard of Oz in 1939. Sure there are really old films like those, It's a Wonderful Life 1946, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Casablanca in 1942. All incredibly old films, that are still praised and enjoyed to this day.
Count Orlok. I just love him and the legend around the actor. Just check it.Oooh, I only saw the first episode or two of this but recall it being really great and having a unique art style. That could just be my old brain failing me though.
Some really old favorites of mine, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari (1920) and Nosferatu (1922)

For me it was interesting that I absolutely loved the comic, and almost couldn't finish the film. The same story in two different formats didn't work for me.When I saw 300 I was struck by the adherence to the original comic -- even up to duplicating scenes found in the comic - in the movie

For me the movie that scared me the most was The Ring, but I was only 17. I watched it a couple of years ago and I was a little disappointed.Oh, right, how to forget that horrorific creature from... *checks notes*
Pingu...?

In Spain they use to say "the size of two Bernabeus", Bernabeu being a soccer stadium. I, really, prefer the walrus metric system. In fact it should be called the WMS and should be international standard.but we need walruses
As a kid the one that freaked me the fuck out was Puppet Master (1989). To this day I shiver when I see an abnormally big body with a little head...As a kid.. Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween.. those movies were fun to me. You know what movie creeped me out as a kid??
Children of the Corn. The 1984 one.. not whatever slop came after that or remakes. Don't ask me why.. but those little fuckers gave me the heebie-jeebies.![]()
I feel almost sorry for french people in need of a pharmacy in the states -- If you are thinking that green cross will find you a pharmacy -- you are "kinda" correct -- but if you are in the states -- you will find very different drugs than you might be expectingWell, pharmacies are very important and should be very easy to find even for those who are unfamiliar with the area, especially in a more or less dire situation.
All of the Akira Kurosawa movies are top notch, including Seven Samurai. One of the reasons I love The Magnificient Seven, and not just because Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steven McQueen, Charles Bronson, and James Coburn were in it. The TV Series in the late 90's wasn't too bad, either.Yeah. I will not say that old movies are better, but there are a lot of gems in the history of cinema. The funny thing about Seven Samurai is that Kurosawa was a fan of John Ford, so he wrote the script as a homage to Westerns. Then, in the USA, they made a Western based on the script. All of the Akira Kurosawa movies are top notch, including Seven Samurai. *quick edit, don't know what happened there, fixed some typos*
It's nice how they can inspire each other. The Man with No Name trilogy being inspired by Sanjuro and Yojimbo, even David Carradine in The Warrior and the Sorceress. Man, I'm jotting down a list of bunch of movies to rewatch now, still bummed about Roger Corman. In Spain we have the same cross for pharmacies.
It's clear and you can see it from far away.
