Do you skip through dialogue to get to the sex in games?

Only if I'm replaying a game or a scene. Otherwise, if I just wanted to watch an animation, I'd pop over to one of various sites and watch something. I play porn games for the interactive element and the story. I know it's a bit silly to say I play them for the plot, but I kinda do. It's the non-porn parts that make it worth playing them in the first place over just watching videos, after all.

I vastly prefer sandbox/corruption games to visual novels, because I want to steward the ship myself.
VN's tend to have extensive blathering that gets weary fast, especially when I read much faster than the text comes up on screen - and especially since quite often most of it is rather trite. So I often hold left CTRL to fast-forward.

Problem is most ones labelled sandbox aren't really - instead they're "find the one spot to go to to advance the story" which is just a waste of time, and even worse if it has to be at a specific time/day.

At least you are participating rather than spectating. So while most of them are not great in that regard, they are better than just smashing the mouse button repeatedly.

Not really, it's just a pain in the ass. Though I hate kinetic novels. I prefer when the choices are all text and if it's sandbox it's actually open world.

When replaying, I absolutely skip past dialogue, but usually the first playthrough I absolutely read the story. It is only when the graphics are awesome, but the story is poor that I'll skip on a first playthrough.

A few times I found myself skipping through the sex scenes to get to the next bit of the story - very few VNs are that good though.

It depends. I think with a lot of stories, it's just talking because of talking, not because of plot. Most I just put on unseen and skip. But some with real build ups, I totally read. I found I'm now half way through 'What A Legend', it's said to be a 6-7 hour upgate with 85K on words. I noticed I don't skip much, and read most of it.

If the writing is bad and the renders are really good then I will skip, but usually if I feel like skipping then it means the writing is bad and I just stop playing that game.

Depends on the game. If the story is captivating from the get go, no....but how often is that the case?

It depends on whether the story is good. Some developers put a lot of meaningless dialogues, and I just skip it.

If I find I don’t really care about the dialogue in the game and just think the girls are hot, I just hold control and skip to the good stuff. BUT, it is more satisfying to get interested in the character and get some back story

I'm curious to what others do when playing H-Games. Do you tend to mash space/left click to get through a lot of the dialogue, maybe stopping at some parts, or do you take the time to read everything? I tend to mash through the early parts of games at least, then maybe slow down after a while.
I do the opposite; slog through a little of the start to get the gist of the story/relationships and then start skipping around.

If you have to skip through all the dialogue then it's not a good game, but I do find myself speed reading when the dialogue drags on for too long. At the minimum I get the gist of the story.

Quite often, because the dialogue is trite. Not when it is fun and engaging.

Never. If I'm not interested in the story and the dialogue, I'll just drop the game and find something else. If I wanted it only because of the porn, I'd just go and watch porn.

I don't generally skip, but I tried Lessons in Love a while back and Jesus Christ was there a lot of inane dialogue. Tried skipping some of it to get to the good stuff, but even it got further and further apart. Lesson learned.
