I hear a lot of varied opinions on AI art.
Recently I am seeing it become more common in games and threads so I'm wondering what do people actually think of it is it well liked now or it just being posted by a few people or is just whatever

I am for it, because it offers many possibilities.

I think it can be used as complementation, like backgrounds and HUD, but i dont consider it art, and i like character designs to be original and human made.

AI art feels so souless. You can see the same elements in each of them, it doesn't matter how much input you type in.
I learned about it, tried something. Sure it is fun to make a couple of things but for a proper game, proper product to put out? Feels weird and generic.
Using it to pre render something that you will put your draw in it is a different matter, like using a tool to improve creation.

it's not how it looks per se, it's how inconsistent it feels.

I dont care about the type of art in VN, be it drawn, hs, daz, ai, real, ...
But i cant stand it when they change the art to ai in remakes, its never an improvement. Either start with it or keep it for your next game, but dont ruin the current one.

And standalone, lets say the only pictures i need are wallpapers and i dont change them often ^^

Im not a big fan of it on it's own but I've seen some people use it to enhance 3d models and make them more interesting it's very inconsistant though

Agreed each image becomes way to clean making it seem even more fake

Well here's my 2 cents. I think there's room for AI assisted tools where its helping you clean up a design you're making but otherwise i try to avoid games made with such tools because its still obvious that is it AI made. As people have said above me, it can be to clean, and feel souless. AI art if you can call it that has that AI look if not done properly which is the majority of AI images, which gives it a real slop feel. Although i have seen people with good models/loras/prompts make some damn good stuff...
